  • It's normal for us to exchange New Year's gifts every year, but this year was special because Ray and Pang (Ray's guardian) joined us. After exchanging gifts, the three of us began our journey together. Pang didn't come along.
It was Ray's first time sitting in a car for such a long period, so we had to prepare a bit. We decided to start our journey at midnight, close to Ray's bedtime, so he wouldn't feel too tired. While sitting in the car, Ray would sometimes cry, typical of a bored child who dislikes sitting in a car seat. However, we had to stay firm and not take him out, as it would be dangerous.
We chose to take a break in Phetchabun to avoid Ray getting too tired. We rested overnight before continuing our journey to Chiang Khan.
Chiang Khan had great weather, quite cool to the point of being chilly, but Ray seemed to enjoy this weather. It made him sleep comfortably. Ray loves being around many people and enjoys looking at them, which made him very happy during our stroll along the pedestrian street on the first night. We stayed at Sunaeta Resort that night and then moved to Heuan Tiow Toi Ngoi on the second night, which was adjacent to Sunta Resort.
After that, we headed to Phu Tub Berk and stayed at Pino Latte. The weather there was great, though slightly warmer than Chiang Khan. On our way back, we drove straight back to Bangkok with some pit stops and meals along the way. We made sure to let Ray stretch his legs during breaks.
In summary, Ray passed the test of the trip. He seemed quite happy, and we must thank Mom Mai (Pang) for contacting and booking accommodations for us every night. Each place was a hit and quite difficult to book in advance.
