Hi. Your chimney cleaning idea was good but time taking and stressful. Easy and cheap way is to use caustic soda. Before you u plugg Ur sink n poured hot water, place the greased filters and sprinkle caustic soda over it and pour hot water and leave it aside for 20 mins. U will see the oil floating in the water. Unplug the sink and use dishwash and soft sponge to wash the filter. Ur filter will shine back at you like new. I have tried and tested. U don't need harsh scrubbers. Moreover Ur sink also will shine like new without scrubbing.

Caustic soda is very effective but at the same time it’s very strong and if not used properly, it can cause irritation on skin and even eyes. There are viewers of all age groups on RUclips, so I cannot recommend something which might harm them. That’s why I showed this method which does the same job and at the same time is not harmful as well. 😊
Excellent cleaning.which brand chimney u r using?if we r using chimneys then also chances for grees accumulation over the cupboards?pls clarify my doubt becos i am in a confusion that whether i need a chimney or simply i can do its job by an exhaustfan. My cooking space has a window in one side &there is no uppr cupboards over the cooking area.pls reply
Thank you so much. The brand of our chimney is Kaff. Look, chimney always does a better job than an exhaust fan because of the following reasons-
1. Since it absorbs the grease, its accumulation on the cupboards is significantly less as compared to an exhaust fan.
2- using an exhaust fan for a long period of time results in formation of patches on the ceiling of the kitchen.
3- chimney makes cooking in summers a lot more easy. Specially during monsoon.
