    I have a manual F430 and live in England. For the English Yorkshire open winding country roads it’s a fantastic drivers car, where you can get the back end out, test its handling and your driving skills, heal and toe rev matching and immerse yourself in the incredible sound of a Ferrari V8 at full chat. I have different Porsches, BMW M, Merc AMG etc and it’s by far my favourite drivers car I’ll get up at 5am when no one is around to fully exploit. When I lived in Florida with the traffic lights and grid road system it’s all straight line soulless driving where the only bend you got was the ramp joining a motorway which often had someone slow driving to ruin it. On the roads you filmed the car on looked similar boring roads to Florida that don’t remotely test a Ferrari’s attributes and what it was designed for. Beautifully balanced, relatively light weight, high performance sports cars like these are wasted on grid system roads and end up being used as poser cruisers which they were never designed for so people get disappointed in them. I suggest finding some great roads, or regularly getting out on a track to appreciate what a Ferrari does. It’s a car to be driven hard. Or sell it and get a sports cruiser for driving in straight lines up the next set of traffic lights.

      Thank you for letting me know. Recently, I have had time to drive on more curvy canyon roads and also just spend more time with the machine. I have completely fallen in love! Im planning on making a video about all the attributes that make my car great! Just had a hard start with the breakdown 🙃 but I'm over it . The F430 is great !

      @@californiakaldune5464 Thats great news and I’m so pleased. You certainly were unlucky with the issue you had which no doubt soured the start of your relationship. The yellow one you have is gorgeous, Enzo’s favourite colour, especially for California. Mine is silver, (Agento Nurburgring) which I guess suits grey old England. Have fun, F430’s are the perfect bhp, amount of speed you can (nearly) fully use, size and IMO shape. Most Super cars and fastest electric cars are now completely out of step with our roads to be able to exploit them and too fast for nearly everybody’s driver capability. For example Tesla Plaid 0-60 1.9 seconds is quicker than the great Lewis Hamilton’s Formula One car that does it in 2.6 seconds.

    • @californiakaldune5464

      Nice color! Silver is a guilty pleasure of mine! I appreciate all the support! The Tesla Plaid is a complete monster and I'm guessing it may not even be realistically enjoyable! I have a Tesla P90d it's an old model, but I still consider It fast! I can only imagine the Plaid.

    If you smell gas with a 430 chances are it is one of the fuel pumps. The car has two fuel pumps behind each seat in the car. I just replaced one of my fuel pumps. My garage smelled like gas and when I opened the engine cover my nose went to the passenger side fuel pump.

    Haha CNC, heard a lot about them lately. I bought a 08 F430 Spider a year ago. I didn’t even get it checked out. I just took it for a very good test drive and checked everything out. I guess I got lucky because not a single thing has gone wrong with it. Whatever you do, keep it on a charger.

    The black stuff from the exhaust is normal on a cold start. It’s just soot and water. If your car is ceramic coated, very easy to clean off. If it’s not, then eventually might damage the paint and require some polishing to get out.

    • @californiakaldune5464
      @californiakaldune5464  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! I really appreciate you letting me know. I was a little disturbed, but I was like "oh well this is Ferrari life" lol. The shop I took it too eventually explained what the black soot was. I figured I would go into details on my next video, but it's good to get some reassurance this is all normal F430 behavior!

    I was considering a 2007 F430 but after your review, sounds like the car has waaay too many issues for a $100k+ car, yeah the engine is what this car is all about, but at what expense, $1,000 here, $1,000 there, sorry I wont a be a money pit for Enzo.

    The stock manifolds on the f430 break easy costs thousands to replace. You cant put aftermarket replacement if you are in CA. If you see white dust on the engine that means the stock manifold has gone bad if you dont replace it bits of the manifold will get sucked into the engine and cause lots damage. I sold mine when this happened

    I have a 2007 F430 and have been driving it for 4 years now. I have had very little to go wrong as it has been reliable. Sure, I replaced the driver side fuel pump when I smelled gasoline but I figured it's the cost of ownership driving an extremely competent super car. You should stop your whining and bitching and own up to looking after the car, get regular maintenance once a year or get a Toyota! Dammit man!

    • @californiakaldune5464
      @californiakaldune5464  Год назад

      The car was literally bought 48 hrs before it broke. What maintenance should I have done? I'm saying 430s are bad. I personally think they just get temperamental when they aren't driven regularly. 🤷 My car sat at Ferrari dealership for about a year with no action. What color is you 430.

    • @AndrewWashington-tr9um
      @AndrewWashington-tr9um Год назад

      @@californiakaldune5464 If the dealership sat on the car you purchased and disclosed that fact to you then a full PPI should have been performed(buyer beware). Temperamental?! Maybe in some instances but so is most exotics. Again, a PPI would possibly have discovered any issues. My Grigio Titanio (silver) beauty has been as reliable as one could expect of a supercar. I drive the car once a month to shows, events and pleasure and it rewards me immensely! My '14 Granturismo with a similar Ferrari engine is equally reliable with little to no problems since I purchased it 2 years ago. I'm honestly beginning to think that the other automotive brands have the issues - not the Italians. Go figure. Drive your car as often as your time will allow and don't ask it for problems.

    . prob worst part of Ferrari world is Ferrari Chat who will ban you for little to no reason! You cannot share the name of any vendor or source of parts IF it will take away fr one of their sponsors
    esp if you point out that R tuned ( one of their "sponsors " -they make HEAP of $ fr sponsors BTW , so they protect them ! ) so , anyway we sent some parts to R tuned in hong kong for them to reproduce in carbon fiber and they "LOST " , or "DESTROYED " or ?? -4 different stories! anyway they probably sold them on as they were worth about $5K ! AND the hong kong police want me to come there to testify against them as they have a major case of criminal fraud and theft by conversion against them! they steal parts and sell them and say "Oh so sorry charlie " !
    but anyway the car is fantaSTIC ! HIGHLY RECOMENDED ! BUY ONE
