  • Despite being one of the most famous and auto-sexing breeds in the world, the Cream Legbar is largely unknown in the US. This breed was created by none other than Reginald C Punnett (the guy who gave us the Punnett Square of genetics)! Alert, active and ready for the range, this breed is immediately identifiable male vs. female and the ladies will fill your egg basket with blue colored egg shells.
    Comb Style: Single
    Broodiness: Nope
    Egg Size: Medium to Large
    Egg Color: Blue!
    Cold Tolerant: Why not?
    Heat Tolerant: Sure
    Free Range: Yeah
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. When you're trying to identify that unidentified chicken breed the pictures from a Google search only go so far... These videos are designed specifically to give you a good long look at specific chicken breeds at different ages to help you identify your mystery chicken (or your neighbors)! Don't forget to subscribe. We add new videos with new breeds all the time. Thanks for watching!

You have some of my favorites salmon favorelle, cream legbars, and welsommers. Do you have any cream brabanters?

thank you for sharing about this breed, I am curious how they are when older. Are they a quiet breed, good for a backyard coop that doesn't free range? just read some things about that, they dont love the cold, dont love confinement, and can be loud. which may be ok on the farm but not the urban backyard, i love them for their egg color and how you can tell boys from girls early.
