Hey man! Just wanted to say thank you for this video! I’m a freshwater angler, mostly out for big bass. I went out and bought these guys along with the owner twist lock 1/8 4/0 hooks. THEU WORK GREAT!! Thanks!
Your product reviews are great, Tony! Well structured, informative and useful - really enjoy watching them and look forward to finding out where to next spend my money >
No problem Joseph! Yep I always keep the Zman baits in their original packaging. Helps eliminate any headaches with them melting onto other lures or plastics.
Never even thought of that! Makes sense though with how thick the body is. A little more ideal for a jig head type of hook. Gotta think outside the box sometimes! A lot of lures can be rigged in many different ways. Another good tactic is to use a small circle hook and hook it through the nose as if it was a live bait and let it drift in the current.
Question Tony. Have you ever fished this lure on a non- weighted offset hook Carolina rigged? Seems to me like that would be a killer presentation for fish suspending off the bottom like walleye and bass? Any thoughts on that?
GREAT info Tony.............Let me ask you a question though, when you store an actual Z-Man bait back into the package after a day out on the water, are you storing it with the hook intact or do you store it back into the package unhooked? Thanks for the superb tips..........
We recommend storing without the hook in order to decrease the odds that it'll rust... hooks are best kept in dry open air environments vs. the bag which is prone to lock in moisture from the used baits.

Great tip on making a starting hole with the hook. Haven’t tried this one yet. Gonna go get a pack and head to the marshes. Thank you Tony!
You bet!
Thanks for the excellent presentation showing the right hook.

Great info! Was having trouble getting the spring in.
Thank you for this information Tony! I will pick up a pack of these and try them to see how well they perform hopefully get a nice red or snook.
Their main purpose is as a chatterbait trailer, nice to see you use them this way!

Good video buddy and I’m nowhere near an ocean but it applies to freshwater fishing also! Thanks
Hey mate good vid, check out TT lures they do jig heads for these plastics. For weedless rigging i like the chinlockz or the snakelockz.
Good job buddy..couldn’t get the twistlock started. Sure was cussing zman Out before watching this vid

"If they're not feeding you can even throw live bait and they're not going to bite" if only everyone understood this
Nice video - great presentation and content. Thank you.

lionel sheikboudhou your lucky as hell then
Perfect trailer for a chatterbait as well and it lasts FOREVER
Great advice!
I picked up some after this vid..
just can’t figure out how to retrieve this lure lol can’t find a good retrieve live action for this lure any tips..
its a jerkbait so jerk it
Thanks for the video.
What leader do you recommend for that lure?
No problem Fidel! I typically use 15lb - 20lb fluorocarbon when targeting trout or redfish, and a minimum of 30lb flouro when targeting snook.
@@tonyacevedo3149 Thanks👍
Great action thanks for sharing
No problem!
How much does it weight?
how much does this shad weigh?
I'm not sure of the actual weight, but I do know that it floats as it's made from the ZMan material.
Good video
This razor floating or sinking?
