Get'em !!!😄😄😄 sometimes I get myself sick, worrying about "factory correct" details... then I say, " HEY GUY ?!!... did you forget, YOU paid for it... your story, your vision, your right... to share your vision, of what YOU think is "cool"... it's a release, that only some understand. Welcome to our world...Let's build some wicked stuff!🤘😎
Hey Chris, Haters are gonna be haters. I have been doing this for 60 years. I think I speak for most here and enjoy seeing the products and your techniques. Keep up the good work! Thank you...Tim
Great building, never let morons tell you differently the hobby is about fun and yes I see some people take it way to seriously. You give a honest review of the models and you build in a day so kudos to you.
Got this for Christmas Dad bought a 390 version when I was 8. My favorite childhood car. Going to build it stock. Might get another one to customize. Keep giving us a hard time. Some of us are entertained by the rivet counters I'd probably use the chrome intake too. With matte clear. That'll show em. Lol. Thanks Chris. Always entertaining
I enjoy watching your builds. You build the way you want to everyone will have. An opinion-building a model is relaxing it is always good to see the finished product. Who gives a S##T what people think.
Sorry haven't commented in a long time...I enjoyed watching you struggle a sec on that roll cage..not ta be facetious I'm just getting older now and I too struggle sometimes now with I guess my nerves I'm more shaky with some stuff like that.the challenges of getting old sucks sometimes I hope I never get to a point where I can't build anymore I do love it. Love this kit I'm grabbing 4 just for that engine
lol, I can't talk about doing the factory color for the engines. When I made the MPC '69 Charger kit, I just made my engine all one color (Silver). :D But I thought it looked more realistic. lol Like you say, build for you and make it how you like it. Thank you for showing the padding idea for the white letter for the tires. Never thought of that. Might do my Petty wheels over and use that method.
Great build always enjoy your videos!!! I know your busy but still waiting for motorcycle review,!! Hope soon !! Great job on builds like Ford great looking !!! Thanks
Mid 1960's the most popular show on TV (no internet or cable TV yet), anyway the show was titled "Rowan and Martins' Laugh-In". Everybody, north, south, east or west, red state or blue, male, female and everything in between, even the household pets would never miss an episode. And the "swearing phrase" on the show was "You bet your sweet Bippy". All around America people were saying it - "Do you sell cola here?" - "You bet your sweet Bippy we do." So I bet MY sweet Bippy this build is COOL. BTW, I'm 76
Such a cool kit Chris, you really make us want to get these kits!! Dang, you, I can't get them all!! Sorry about all the know it alls, that have opinions!! Keep making these videos!!!
Totally bad ass! I will definitely track down the Krylon Georgia Clay Gloss paint, great color!! "Build and paint your way" is the best advice ever! This hobby is about having fun, not counting revits! Great build and presentation as always Chris!!
"You bet your sweet bippy" was a saying popularized by the TV show Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, which ran from 1967-73. It's basically the equivalent of saying "You bet your ass!"
Great video. And on my 63 Falcon drag car I ran in the 80’s, the motor was painted black, because it was easier then Factory Ford Blue. Drag car motors can be any color. Do want you want! Keep up the great work
Not do "factory perfection?" Blaspheme! Oh, wait, I often try to do my model cars as how I would want them if I owned them. Perhaps oddly, I generally do aircraft without much if any weathering and all that. Thanks for doing these videos.
This Kit Is A 66 Galaxies 7 Litre A Special One Year Only Model of Which only 5,000 were Made originally A 3 in 1 kit but thanks To Round 2 enhanced improvement the Stock car Race parts were Added to A Already Great Kit. Thank you Again Chris for A Great unboxing & Buildup Review
Hi there - you seem to know your onions so hope you can help - how much external difference is there between this 66 (as a stock build) and a 67? I want to build the car from the tv series 'The Invaders" which I've been led to believe is a 67 (soft top) coupe but a kit of this is no longer available. Aside from the soft / hard top issue, is the body and trim similar?
I built this kit twice. It was one of the first car kits I built when I was 10 or 11. Then I built it again a few years later using the custom front end. They have added parts to this kit. It used to be a 2 in one kit. I don't remember any decals. The rear axle is different. It was leaf springs. There was no roll cage. Amt uses this engine in at least one other kit, (33 Willys coupe)
Chris The Roll Cage Issue I believe Was Due to it Not Being Originally Designed For the 66 Galaxies but For the 65 Galaxies instead they're not Identical Bur Round 2 enhanced included these Parts to enhance the 66 kit Knowing Experienced Modelers would Fix it by Test fit, Fix & Refit process of Building Hope this Clarifies Fitment Issue. I love that it's A 4 in 1 kit & Has NASCAR Parts in it Now
Hey chris Is great job as always. I wonder when they're gonna come out with the 63 galaxy light weights.. Which was so huge in the early drag racing.. And i'm very surprised that nobody has one.. Yet.. If you have some pull ..can you ring there bell ..lol thank you again ..great job
What an awesome technique for chrome headers! I am looking forward to giving that a shot. May be 🤔 able to cut the Bet and Bippy decals into individual letters to arrange them for the right side but who knows how that will turn out, I'll try it on one of mine. By getting several kits I'll have extra decals if I mess up.
I enjoy watching you do these builds, great job again. I know that you like to use Pledge and you seem to get good results too. You use generous amounts of Pledge. I have used it, but I often get some puddling type runs and you do not. We are both brushing it on, no airbrush being used.
Another sweet build! I certainly want to pick up at least a couple - I wonder if the heater/fan box on the Grand National versions would have been removed? I luckily have a older gentleman at our local VFW that did a lot of drag racing before he was drafted for Riverine PBR duty in Vietnam so I'm betting he would know!!
I love the job you did on this car...It look AMAZING bro....Also so you know. Their are 2 AMT 1965 Ford Galaxy's Not to sure if they could be found easily. One is a Hardtop, the other is a rag top, Both have opening deck lids (Trunks)
I completed the earlier release of this kit (I bought it in 2022) a couple of months ago and I see they've upgraded some of the decals in it, for example mine didn't have the badges or instrument panel decals in it, but it had a lot more "racing car" decals in it which I'm sure will come in handy on other projects eventually. Very simple kit but I love the number of build options it has.
You talked about the roll cage being an after thought or something. The roll cage has been with the kit since first issue. I have several issues of this kit, and all issues have pretty much been the same except for the decals. Some of the kit has had some updating, but pretty much same as the original issue of this kit.
Another fun build up, *Chris* . I, too, like the colour you chose for the body -- quite unique . I see parts for the stock 390/427/428 FE (cylinder heads and rocker covers ; pulleys and belt, too) as well. This is one of AMT's finest efforts. Atypical for its time, the exhaust isn't moulded - on the chassis pan (and the attached - to - the - axle pipes are, as you've exhibited, easily snipped from their home). Interior tub is barren except for the door cards -- the separate - and optional - seating is again atypical for the era. Which one of these kits has the opening trunk ? I've forgotten already (haha). Perhaps the *Jolly* *Green* *Gasser* version ?
Ive been building models for alot of years and ive never used that pledge as a top coat. I noticed that you are brushing it on. Watching it on video it looks good but is there any brush strokes in it when it dries and your looking at it up close? Thanks for your video
The model snobs are getting out of control! I'm on a few Facebook model building groups and people are constantly being belittled and talked down to for using 2x paint. I'll never understand why someone cares so much about what someone else does with THEIR model kits. I don't care if someone uses crayons on their as long as they're enjoying it and doing it their way!
Bee - You - Tea build ! ! !
Thanks for sharing...
I'm not sure why..but it's always satisfying watching you build models.. mainly because I never seem to finish mine..lol
Agreed. It’s because Chris has fun with it, and doesn’t get too technical with nitpicky details.
Love the show , I like to see what’s in the box. Build it how you want.
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks
Hey Chris, Haters are gonna be haters. I have been doing this for 60 years. I think I speak for most here and enjoy seeing the products and your techniques. Keep up the good work! Thank you...Tim

Keep building them how you want to. It’s your model. I enjoy watching every build! Thanks.
That's the plan! Thanks!
I'm glad you did the Drag version 😊
Hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks for all your great videos! AMT is referencing a popular TV quote from Laugh In . Dick Martin in particular would say it quite often!
Another great build and review! Thanks so much!
I want 2 of them 😊
I enjoy watching your builds. You build the way you want to everyone will have. An opinion-building a model is relaxing it is always good to see the finished product.

Beautiful mate 👍

WOW GREAT BUILD Thank you for doing these builds
Thanks for all the tips and inspiration, you helped me make building models more enjoyable.
Really cool stuff Chris be well
Nice job!
Thanks for the visit!
this kit and the Jolly Green Gasser call for kit bashing

Love the SOHC 427! Battery goes in the trunk. LOL! Cool kit.
Great build always enjoy your videos!!! I know your busy but still waiting for motorcycle review,!! Hope soon !! Great job on builds like Ford great looking !!! Thanks
Thanks Chris for the review!
Thanks for what you do, Chris. Watching your show got me back into modeling after 30 years. I'm loving it. Keep doing what you're doing.
❤ "" SWEET "" ❤
After you have built these cars for years, no one can fault you for changing things up, and using your own artistic licence! Nice car!
Absolutely incredible job Chris! Love the Georgia Clay finish with that flat black hood! Thanks for sharing as always!
Nice color true artist❤

Yeah! The same show Pontiac used 'The Judge' from.

Very nice build Chris! Kind of an unusual color, but it works well on the big Ford.
Such a cool kit Chris, you really make us want to get these kits!! Dang, you, I can't get them all!! Sorry about all the know it alls, that have opinions!! Keep making these videos!!!

Cool! I'd like to see how it builds as a Grand National stocker.
You bet your sweet bippy I’m building this!
Looks great Chris.

Nice 😅
Another great build Chris,! People can say what ever they want I don't do mine perfect either keep on building
I used to have a girlfriend with hood pins like that
You do nice job on your moldes keep the good work up
Thank you very much!

When I bought mine I did it for drag and use metal flake fire engine red

Thanks for doing these videos.
👍👍👍👍
Nice looking model. This one builds into a nice kit. This kit will be worth buying just for the SOHC 427 engine. Thanks for sharing.

Ford offered the 7-litre as a package to the Galaxie 500 (or the XL?) in 1967, but it wasn't a separate model, just an option.
Looks cool.

Bippy was often assumed to mean your butt - maybe it meant something else to other people. Nice build again, thanks.

Chris, I'm building mine to SOMEWHAT replicate the car that Jay Leno's dad drove. I also built the '65 Galaxie in the same color scheme.
You talked about the roll cage being an after thought or something. The roll cage has been with the kit since first issue. I have several issues of this kit, and all issues have pretty much been the same except for the decals. Some of the kit has had some updating, but pretty much same as the original issue of this kit.
HA PREETY NEAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE THOUGHT DOING THAT
I I ALLWAYS USE BURNET UMBER FOR MAKING DRAGPIPES LIKE THER"T REALLY OVERHEATED YEA IT'KOOL.
Would love to see you build the revell Farrari Enzo

Do they have 65 ford galaxy also? Very cool old cars! Your models are awesome dude!
What is the glue you are using?
Love your ton of crap!!!
Hi Chris I didn't notice, does it had Grand National Wheels for those tires?
Great build but I’m puzzled by the bippy decal never heard that phrase in my life
What the hell time did you put the tires on?
The model snobs are getting out of control! I'm on a few Facebook model building groups and people are constantly being belittled and talked down to for using 2x paint. Mr Chris, it's a BIPPY,,, ya Don't know? C'mon man!!??!!
Actually I don't know either. 😁
Another awesome video, I be leavin' ya a 👍.
Am I the only one that sees the car in 2 different reds? Red oxide and bright red?
Yeah your genius
A bippie is a butt.
This is the year Ford boycotted NASCAR.
BTW, you bet your sweet bippy came from Laugh In and was pretty much the sanitized version of you bet your sweet ass😮
