Thanks for posting this video! The instructions on HD are a little out of date. The instructions on the HD website said to leave the files in the zip folder. That isn't what you did here and that isn't what works! Haha Pulling the disc image file out of the zipped folder and putting that on the thumb drive has me in business. Thanks again Gary!

While in Phoenix last year (I live in Chicago) I updated my software and in the process the database got corrupted. Now I have no Nav system. Took it to the dealer (desert wind Harley , another unpleasant experience) where they had to do a global restore. I'll never update my software again while on the road.
I am pleased it worked well for you. I believe it updates everything - software, maps, information. It is the only update I know about, so it must update everything.

I have never seen that error message before. At 1:45 in e video I said "copy the file onto the top level, ie not in a folder, on your memory stick." Did you do that? And of course you un-zipped the file first?
"The ISO image of the USB is corrupted or incompatible" - an error indicates the incompatibility of the software and your motorcycle. For example, software downloaded from the official website of Harley Davidson USA is only suitable for the domestic market. To update Harley Davidson, made for Europe, download the software from the official Harley Davidson UK website.

you might wanna tell everyone that make sure you USB drive is Formatted FAT32 and NOT NTFS otherwise the radio can NOT read it.

How do you update maps. I have a 2016 sgs and there are a lot of new roads since then
Harley no longer has an "Owner tab" on their website. Do you have any ideas on how to find the update now?

Hi Keith. The two most common problems are : 1 did you unzip the file? and 2 the file must not be in a folder on the usb stick.

@@GaryFrance_Tour1 yes, I copy onto the top level, after unzip. I think I doesn't recognize the .iso or the file.

After installing update gps will not move. And current location is not correct have installed 2x with same results

Gary France after troubleshooting I am receiving no signal from gps. It is either antina or radio
@@jrhalter9031 We have gone beyond the limit of my experience I'm afraid. I have never had such trouble when updating the software in my bike.

When you copied the latest version file onto your memory stick, did you put that in a folder? It must not be in a folder. Try that.

Did you copy the file onto the top level of your USB, or was the file in a folder? If it was in a folder, that is your problem.
