Ellis James but he's fat from a world class boxer isn't he. Let's all be real against someone like AJ, Fury, Parker, wilder and even Hughie Fury would give hom such a hard time no joke. Still wish him all the best man
People can criticise his style all they want but the fact of the matter is he’s effective with it. There’s a reason he’s one of Britain’s most decorated amateurs. Personally, I can’t wait for him to be mixing it with some of the top 10 heavyweights because his come forward relentless style will make for some cracking fights.
You guys are acting as if the heavyweight scene is stacked full of elite talent lol plenty of guys ranked in the top 10 that have their fair share of flaws. Joyce would 100% give the likes of Whyte, Miller, Takam, Breazeale, Pulev etc all sorts of problems which would make for intriguing competitive fights. I think the champions in Joshua & Wilder and the top contenders in Parker, Povetkin and Ortiz are a level above Joyce at this stage. Not saying Joyce is gona dominate the HW landscape, but just cos his style is not always appealing to the eye doesn’t mean he isn’t any good.
His style will make for him getting a pasting from a top class heavyweight. He is so easy to hit it's unreal and a lot of his shots were missing. Lenroy Thomas just did not have the size, the power or the heart to compete with Joyce but any fighter who has all these attributes will find Joyce out if he continues fighting as he is.
I'm starting to really like JJ. He doesn't talk trash and backs it up in the ring. I can't see many HW's out there wanting to face him, the guy is a relentless wrecking ball, the way he smashed LT down was a sight to see. Definite shades of George Foreman, using his strength and power to bash his way to victory. Probably a good call from Chisora not wanting to fight JJ, it would be a very long but short night. Looking forward to seeing his future fights.
13:12 Look at Joyce. As soon as that punch lands, he knows it's over long before the ref or even his opponent do. He doesn't even wait for him to fall, he just lets his fists down and leaves.
Id never seen Joyce fight so thanks for this upload. Good heavy punches, dude can take a punch (particularly the body shots) but he does appear quite cumbersome, slow fists you can see coming and awkward footwork. But I can see why they call him the juggernaut! Slow moving but always coming foward and difficult to hurt. That last punch was deceptively effective...
He's way more coordinated than wilder it seems and Joe Joyce moves fairly well for a big man he can do a standing backflip after boxing 10 rounds he's a bad mofo. Maybe not Tyson fury level little bit slow hand speed but he's strong mofo and dangerous heavyweight. Also he seems like one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet very soft spoken and good natured it seems. But hating on this dude he's undefeated and one of the top 10-15 heavyweights.
This was a prodigious showing that reminded me of those George Foreman KO victories, great stuff from this guy. Super underrated hw. The ko was brutal because a southpaw got countered with a left hook in the process of delivering his left uppercut..ouch. it happened because Thomas cocked his left hand, Joe read him like a book. Thomas moves well for a big man, I didn't expect that kind of quality lateral movement and he had a good left right body uppercut combo, he relied on it too much though
People gotta remember he's against Lenroy Thomas, I'm sure against any of the top ten he would be more defensive, reserve energy and pick his shots better. Everyone labelled Parker as awful when he badly-performed against Hughie Fury, then he turned up against AJ more athletic and although he lost, he lost with his head held high. Don't judge Joyce to early because he's relatively unknown on a professional level. Wait til he fights someone who can fight back a bit then judge him as harshly as you want.
True, but Parker did swallow it in that fight, knew he was down and still didn't go for it, was happy to lose on points... Joyce would undoubtedly go for it.
He seems like a more durable and fit Price rather than a Forman. Forman was slow moving but had a great jab and leading uppercut while Joyce just kinda lurches in and starts swinging though his body punches are delivered well if you you let him set and sit on his punches and just stand in front of him.
He has the stamina to progress but technically he boxes like a novice. He will get exposed pretty soon and his handlers will have a lot to answer for. Old as he is, they need to slow his career down and let him develop the craft.
Time will tell. It's a risky game to be playing with such a talented prospect IMO. Obviously, he can't now lower his competition level but that could be the problem. He needs to have fought a wider variety of opponents at the domestic level to prepare him better. Styles make fights and Thomas was perfect for him but there are plenty of better/different HW contenders for him to develop against before going up to world level. He has had WSB experience which counts for something but it's still too fast.
Yes he is a little too open but i think he's trying to progress as quickly as possible due to his age. In doing so he's trying to up his profile by fighting quite an open style, which is fine against lesser opponents, but he'll have to be more careful against AJ. But i can see him beating most of the top 10 like Whyte, Chisora and Parker. The only thing that will beat JJ is a boxer that moves and gets him with a really big punch, like WIlder or AJ. He will run through the HW division using his brute strength. He doesn't stand a chance against Fury.
How can you take the dude seriously with that ring walk but credit to him he needs to work on his technique and fluidity but definitely has potential it's only early in his career
Joyce comes to the ring in Mexican garb on account of Cinco de Mayo, then proceeds to score a knockdown at the end of the first round on, what else, a body shot, possibly a liver shot. Fairly appropriate.
Here after I fell asleep during one of the 8 rd fights, then proceeded to sleep through the rest of the card, including the Joe Joyce vs "Dubious" Daniel Dubois main event where, from what I've read so far, Joyce jabbed Dubois' left eye shut and, according to a lot of folks, causing Dubois to quit on his feet.
JJ has nice slugging power shots that accumulate. The only problem is he is a bit open throwing them and looks off balance. If he works on those and better movement then he should do well. At moment AJ's speed/power combo would destroy JJ, but JJ is progress and in future could have tools to beat AJ (but lots of work!).
The commentator says “clumsy and slow” Real fighting doesn’t look like Hollywood Joyce uses his body weight and rotation to move his arms rather than to throw his arms out.... This is a technique used in martial arts and boxing to minimise energy expenditure and to stay efficient Because the whole body is directing the attack it can be less precisely targeted when attached to such a large heavyweight Tyson Fury has found a middle ground between throwing arms and body weighting....which is very impressive because of his accuracy.....but he does have to forego a little power (its physics) Joyce can do this all night unless someone can effectively attack his body early on Joyce’s chin might be a possibility for a Wilder/Joshua or even a Dubois potentially But for most boxers it would need to be body attacks to weaken the juggernaut Don’t be fooled by Joyce’s movement....he will relentlessly flatten you like Foreman
A lot of people complaining Joyce and DD isnt worth ppv, I tend to disagree, I think it will be a humdinger. The stamina he has to deliver so many punches offsets his slow hand speed and he's quicker on his feet than his gait implies. He must have huge natural strength contributing to the punch equation, a bit like George Foreman as others have noted. Hope he comes through this next fight with DD. There's time for DD to recoup, possibly not for Joe. I'd like to see what he can do inside that top ten!
This looks like a white collar boxing show. Footwork and balance are all over the place, wailing wide shots with his hands down and chin up, seems he hasn't been taught how to step to his right to cut off the ring. I don't know who's training him but he needs better.
That was 30 minutes b4 his fight with Hate too,how he walked to the ring with Joyce weighing 24 stone then lost almost 9 stone for the fight,he must have got on the gymn cycle, then Tko'd Haye, fair play to him lol
People slamming JJ, but watch his other Ko, s he has got some accurate knockouts, see the short left hook that finished the fight, he has hit other people on the chin like that before, very accurate, he does look slow, but I'm looking forward to seeing him step up.
He wouldn't last in the ring wit a dillian, ortiz, or really anybody thats up there but i would like to see him fight jarrell which would be a great fight the match where both fighters coming foward with one with unbelievable power in Joe and one with a gas tank for miles, great heart, and even more of a great chin so i think thats a good match up
Joyce is a absolute beast! His workrate and physical strength is unbelivable. If he has a good chin he will be hard to beat. This knockout reminded me a little bit of Foreman-Frazier 1. The delayed effect., and the way the punches are Thoren.Joyce looks like a modern day Foreman. Its not pretty and he is slow, but Its very effective.
Yeah and Thomas should have swayed at the hips and done more of a shoulder roll making him miss rather than taking those whacks on the high guard cos Joyce won't stop punching, that maybe his downfall, punch him self out, takes more out of you when you miss than land as u well know
I noticed in most of his fights he tends to come in and attempt to overpower his opponents instead of using his reach and jab.....that works with lesser known fighters but as you fight better quality fighters, you need to be more diversified and develop more skills
He won't be able to di that against other boxers with matching power. He's really slow too so anyone that's just a tad bit faster than him can catch him clean. He's a beast though, reminds me of a in shape and taller Chris Arreola throws punches in bunches and just uses his heavy hands on his opponents.
Michael Seymour i know what you mean in a way it doesn’t look real but joe won Olympic silver against oleksander usk a lot thought he won it but I get you he doesn’t look interested
Michael Seymour He looks clumsy but he never slows down, takes one hell of a punch and hits so fucking hard it’s strange. 100% a problem for any fighter, I’d love to see him fight miller but understandable miller wants big money.
Big respect to Thomas for showing so much heart and carrying on as much as he could! Joyce is a beast and has definitely improved since he's turned pro. He's not that stiff anymore and has become more loose.
the thing about joyce is that he got a heavy hands and throws a lot of it, the downpart is that his punches are slow, he needs to learn to throw it faster and quicker
Joe Joyce’s ring walk is a thing of pure entertainment genius: awful rap, stiff awkward hard movement/dancing, the ridiculous outfit and sombrero, and finally almost knocking off said sombrero during said awkward dancing! FIVE STARS - I give it FIVE STARS! BIG JUGGERNAUT BIG JUGGERNAUT!
How can anyone hate this guy? His style is so fan friendly and look at the level he’s fighting at just a few fights in his career...
Haye was right that he just doesn't stop punching proper onslaught, relentless. Well done Joe
Ellis James but he's fat from a world class boxer isn't he. Let's all be real against someone like AJ, Fury, Parker, wilder and even Hughie Fury would give hom such a hard time no joke. Still wish him all the best man
Ellis James you see 🤛 can’t even Ko you

Personally, I can’t wait for him to be mixing it with some of the top 10 heavyweights because his come forward relentless style will make for some cracking fights.
wtf this guy throws punches in slow motion there's no way he matches with any top 10 guys
Pugilist Specialist and gets knocked out. He's slow punching and clumsy
You guys are acting as if the heavyweight scene is stacked full of elite talent lol plenty of guys ranked in the top 10 that have their fair share of flaws. Agreed

Big Juggernaut big Juggernaut... music is really high class these days huh
A bigger version of GGG 💪
Love the way he just walks off.

Damn he is heavy handed, jesus
It looks like his gloves are full of a heavy pair of brass knuckles.
Don't use God's name in vain.
Joyce is so slow
But he wins and that is all that matters dumb ass .
Guys like george foreman and earnie shavers were not fast either
@@ViktorM1 It was fun to watch Foreman. Joyce isn't
Slow but efficient
@@bilalcan2366 he has had 8 fights idiot
He’s getting looser and looser every fight. He’s only gonna get better from here
13:12 Look at Joyce. As soon as that punch lands, he knows it's over long before the ref or even his opponent do.
He doesn't even wait for him to fall, he just lets his fists down and leaves.
so nice
Blimey. I thought I had it in slow motion.
Id never seen Joyce fight so thanks for this upload. joe has got great footwork for his size and weight
that body shot rocked Thomas to his boots
Huge advantage in strength for Joe.
He obviously hits hard but technically he makes Wilder look like Lomachenko lol
tbf he picks his shots well though
They said the same about george foreman
IDIOT
He's way more coordinated than wilder it seems and Joe Joyce moves fairly well for a big man he can do a standing backflip after boxing 10 rounds he's a bad mofo. @Doodle Bob WHAT IS TRUE?
what does the TNT stand for on Lenroys shorts? does it stand for Teenage Ninja Turtle?
Lol
Yea close enough
Hey Joyce is a good fighter, give him a break, Lenroy has good movement.
worst entrance ive ever seen joe joyce loool
LOL forreal
And the best!
He's lame and British what did you expect lol!
George foreman
Great comparison.....
Joyce is such a lovely man...at this point I pray u go on to be world champion... what a sport man you are.
"Clumbersome!"
That short left completely stopped Thomas cracking shot
I find this KO hilarious. The way he reaches out after he gets hit he's like "ohh shit nigga, you got me".
Very impressed. Can’t wait for his next fight
Awesome performance!!!!

Carlton Palmer the announcer couldn’t decide between “clumsy” and “cumbersome” apparently! 😂
😅
That is one of the coldest punch I seen in a long time
INIT
People gotta remember he's against Lenroy Thomas, I'm sure against any of the top ten he would be more defensive, reserve energy and pick his shots better. True, but Parker did swallow it in that fight, knew he was down and still didn't go for it, was happy to lose on points... Joyce would undoubtedly go for it.
yeah Parker should've been more aggressive in the later rounds but the ref didn't help
Against any of the top 10 he would get lit up, he got lit up by cruisereweight Uzyk in the amateurs
Its as if you're making out Uzyk's bad? and Uzyk's faster thats why, heavyweight boxing is a completely different game.
Usyk would box AJ's head off too!
He seems like a more durable and fit Price rather than a Forman. Forman was slow moving but had a great jab and leading uppercut while Joyce just kinda lurches in and starts swinging though his body punches are delivered well if you you let him set and sit on his punches and just stand in front of him.
That last chop on the chin, so cold. Joyce knew that was the one to end the fight.
Wtf have I just watched 😂
8:08 Joe Joyce lands an audible left kidney punch
He has the stamina to progress but technically he boxes like a novice. He will get exposed pretty soon and his handlers will have a lot to answer for. Old as he is, they need to slow his career down and let him develop the craft.
brocklanders1984 terrible advice and terrible assessment Joyce needs to keep upping his competition
Time will tell. It's a risky game to be playing with such a talented prospect IMO. Obviously, he can't now lower his competition level but that could be the problem. Lenroy entrance. Big tune
Horrendous refereeing imo, it should've been stopped when he knocked him down first time in 2nd round. Congrats Joe Joyce!
bore off
How can you take the dude seriously with that ring walk but credit to him he needs to work on his technique and fluidity but definitely has potential it's only early in his career
Yeah, just 33 years old. I think it will start to reach hist highest potential when he reach 45 or something like that.
Classic intro .. music is dope as hell so ill
Joyce dancing at 0:39
Joyce comes to the ring in Mexican garb on account of Cinco de Mayo, then proceeds to score a knockdown at the end of the first round on, what else, a body shot, possibly a liver shot. Fairly appropriate.
I don’t know how he generates the power he does, but his accuracy is on point
SKILL
Joe Joyce dancing during ring walk, cringe
Rosh125 leave the lad alone he enjoying himself I hope
lol the thing is he doesnt even look like hes enjoying himself lol
Shiro hi Light
LOL... cracked me up😂
he was told to dance and they also told him to do that overhead jump.... 😂
Rosh125 ....and that's your only take on this fight? Joyce ringwalk didn't please you.
Lol
JJ Best Chin in Boxing...he dnt need 2 be defensive
THAT KO AND WALK AWAY WAS SO NICE
Joe Joyce can be the darlin of boxing like another Frank Bruno, he is like a kid trapped in a grown mans body, lol

Real fighting doesn’t look like Hollywood
Joyce uses his body weight and rotation to move his arms rather than to throw his arms out....
This is a technique used in martial arts and boxing to minimise energy expenditure and to stay efficient
Because the whole body is directing the attack it can be less precisely targeted when attached to such a large heavyweight
Tyson Fury has found a middle ground between throwing arms and body weighting....which is very impressive because of his accuracy.....but he does have to forego a little power (its physics)
Joyce can do this all night unless someone can effectively attack his body early on
Joyce’s chin might be a possibility for a Wilder/Joshua or even a Dubois potentially
But for most boxers it would need to be body attacks to weaken the juggernaut
Don’t be fooled by Joyce’s movement....he will relentlessly flatten you like Foreman
A lot of people complaining Joyce and DD isnt worth ppv, I tend to disagree, I think it will be a humdinger.

Kev Freeman I think you are 100% right....
YOU KNOW IT MAN. DONT GET WHY OTHER PEOPLE CANT SEE IT
Bro your smart, joy Joyce will cause ddd problems after round 7 and win if not knocked out.
Joe Joyce looks like he’s been boxing for about week, terrible.
Best walk in ever.
Looking forward to joyce vs Dubois!
The way Joyce walks off before Thomas even hits the floor reminds me of a scene from a Manga film or something lol
This looks like a white collar boxing show. Footwork and balance are all over the place, wailing wide shots with his hands down and chin up, seems he hasn't been taught how to step to his right to cut off the ring. I don't know who's training him but he needs better.
Charlie Duran what do most Pros look like in their 3rd fight?
Tony Bellew has put some weight on (to the right of Joyce on ringwalk)
Paul Lindley its well known Bellew beefs up after a fight. Lol
hahaha
That was 30 minutes b4 his fight with Hate too,how he walked to the ring with Joyce weighing 24 stone then lost almost 9 stone for the fight,he must have got on the gymn cycle, then Tko'd Haye, fair play to him lol
didn't know we had experts on Boxing in the comments
INIT ALL THE SHEEP SAYING HE SLOW NEED STFU
They were talking about how good is skillset was, this dude has the worst skill set of any heavyweight I've ever seen in my life.
People slamming JJ, but watch his other Ko, s he has got some accurate knockouts, see the short left hook that finished the fight, he has hit other people on the chin like that before, very accurate, he does look slow, but I'm looking forward to seeing him step up.
Joyce is THE fittest heavyweight boxer. Complete athlete
Joe can go far and will definitely hold a belt
Yeah,on his jaw.lol.
Great entrance
Great ko
This is my fav ko cause its so funny. When he hits him with hook Thomas is like 'ohhh shit nigga'.
Joe Joyce dancing ring walk has improved since these days
He wouldn't last in the ring wit a dillian, ortiz, or really anybody thats up there but i would like to see him fight jarrell which would be a great fight the match where both fighters coming foward with one with unbelievable power in Joe and one with a gas tank for miles, great heart, and even more of a great chin so i think thats a good match up
LMAO Hilarious ending.. funny scrap man
Joyce is the slowest boxer ever, he punches in slow motion
That entrance was so bad it was good!! hahahaha That dance though. Love it Joe keep it up!!
Joe Joyce entrance was cringe😂😂
U R CRINGE
I'll give it to him that he's heavy handed, but to slow the time it takes for him to throw one punch aj n fury would throw 3 or 4 punches..
Wtf? Was that ring walk very laughable lol
Still Chuckling.lol.
Lack of head movement may cost Joyce
Yeah and Thomas should have swayed at the hips and done more of a shoulder roll making him miss rather than taking those whacks on the high guard cos Joyce won't stop punching, that maybe his downfall, punch him self out, takes more out of you when you miss than land as u well know
He’s a work in progress
The James Milner of boxing
haye should do more sparring with the likes of joyce and others to prepare for future fights if he doesnt retire..
Do you know what it’s like when having a nightmare and everything is in slow motion. That’s what’s it’s like fighting Joe Joyce.
The ref shouldn't have stepped in between the fighters, Leroy was still on his feet.
I noticed in most of his fights he tends to come in and attempt to overpower his opponents instead of using his reach and jab.....that works with lesser known fighters but as you fight better quality fighters, you need to be more diversified and develop more skills
THAT KO WAS SO NICE
Joyce definitely the better boxer and Thomas showed real heart to carry on as long as he could.
The don Racist???
Slow motion car exit... they love them some Joshua.
If Joe was as slow as everyone makes out he wouldnt land all the shots he does
Joe is a hybrid good luck to the guys that face him
Fuking hell the last knockout why he walked away like a terminator what fuking machine awesome power
TRUE
Definitely reminds me of Foreman. He's also got that same stone cold aura when he moves forward, which is all the time. Interesting fighter.
Joyce is that punch drunk when he knocks someone down he just stands there, thinking what do I do.
He won't be able to di that against other boxers with matching power. He's really slow too so anyone that's just a tad bit faster than him can catch him clean. He's a beast though, reminds me of a in shape and taller Chris Arreola throws punches in bunches and just uses his heavy hands on his opponents.
''Joe Joyce is very slow''-Captain obvious
The guy in the green should be ashamed.
This is the kind of fight that makes me angry.
Guy didn’t even try
He needs to keep Chisora’s name out his mouth
He'd demolish Del Boy
hes crap ...looks like the worst heavyweight in hype mode
Michael Seymour take that body shot and say he’s crap
He’s learning
Michael Seymour i know what you mean in a way it doesn’t look real but joe won Olympic silver against oleksander usk a lot thought he won it but
I get you he doesn’t look interested
indiana146 it was against tony yoka not usyk
Michael Seymour He looks clumsy but he never slows down, takes one hell of a punch and hits so fucking hard it’s strange. 100% a problem for any fighter, I’d love to see him fight miller but understandable miller wants big money.
Big respect to Thomas for showing so much heart and carrying on as much as he could! Joyce is a beast and has definitely improved since he's turned pro. He's not that stiff anymore and has become more loose.
Bullshit my friend!
joe joyce is the modern george foreman
Wtf was the whole Mexican attire for ?
the thing about joyce is that he got a heavy hands and throws a lot of it, the downpart is that his punches are slow, he needs to learn to throw it faster and quicker
BIG JUGGERNAUT BIG JUGGERNAUT!
he's very open to a counter punch, especially an uppercut. He has a very stiff robotic way of punching.
Watch at 1.25 speed.
when he fights someone descent he will get blown away
WHY? LOL
That 3ntrance dance 😂
Joyce can beat Wilder
For sure!
They don't want a war! They don't want a war! Joyce's entrance was cool
