The Stage was Avenged Sevenfold's most recent album. "God Damn" and "The Stage" are pretty good selections for the album. Also, if you want a band whose vocalist has some seriously good range, check out Nothing More. Their vocalist is pretty amazing. "This is the Time" and "Fade In/Fade Out" are excellent choices.
"God Damn" and "The Stage" the obnly good song of that album i skip the 34 sec. intro to the stage pure noise

Wow, Nothing More!! I saw them at a local club in Pennsylvania opening for Adrenaline Mob before they were signed. They were absolutely amazing... almost made me wanna leave after their set! They all came to the back of the club to sell their merch. Hung out with us for a while just talking music. Really cool guys! Grabbed all of their autographs on an early EP they were selling. Two years later they signed with Atlantic!
They’re a very unique band.. Their sound evolves with each album they put forward. I recommend checking out a live performance as m shadows sounds even better live. His prime was from 2006-2014 (live in the lbc and rock am ring 2011 being his best performances). Critical Acclaim, Afterlife, Unholy Confessions live in the lbc and anything from rock am ring 2011
They actually been on a hiatus since 2018. M Shadows was dealing with a blood clot in his vocal cords. They are going on tour for the first time in 4 years in like a month so hopefully he’s back to his old self 🤞🏼. I’ve been to many of their concerts and they are phenomenal live
I guess the correct term is a hemorrhage in the vocal cords? Regardless, he was having vocal issues and you could noticeably tell from his performances. Also, looks like that tour over in Europe was cancelled as well due do Covid .. sigh .. guess we gotta wait til the new album comes out

Sorry forgot all about this.. it wasn’t a clot.. I forget where I read it (been years) but if memory serves me right, it was a blood blister from just touring too much and then covid happened .. I was at a concert in Jacksonville in 2018 and he told the crowd that he was having trouble singing and that he tried resting all week and sometimes it just doesn’t work out and he was just going to keep going until it goes out. @@harveyhelka9186

Thank u I asked for another one on Instagram. Haha thanks. My favorite band. He had vocal surgery before. His prime voice was like 2009. The check afterlife or critical acclaim live in the lbc.
Possibly my favorite moment from them was the first Uproar festival in 2010. They had just recently lost the Rev as their original drummer and hadn't filled a permanent replacement. So they had Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater joining them in their first tour back. The moment when the mannequin dropped from the rafters at the start of Nightmare gave me chills. And the rest of their set did not disappoint.

Hello Charis I have finally subscribed to your thing! I just love Avenged! I don’t know if anybody told you that they lost original drummer they called him Rev Jim he died of an overdose unfortunately. At first of course it hit them all really hard to point that they were going to call it quits. But thank God, they realized that the Rev would want them to keep going. He could also play piano and when they were going through the grieving process, they found all of these songs that he had written which became one of the biggest albums at the time called Nightmare.
Check out "Seize the Day" by them if you want more of a ballad type feel, M. Shadows definitely shows off his chops in that song as well.

you need to go to the beginning, they have always had something happen to the band that would cause a need for a change in sounds. if I remember the first was him killing his vocal cords causing them to go from the rwars to that more rock sound

6:29 a very big premise of this entire genre (and other subgenres spawned from this genre, metal) is based on showing off instrumentation skills. 6:32 not only 2013, more like since the mid-late 1970s lol. Instrumental skills and showing off of them have become a staple of this genre of music.

I think the song is talking about how throughout history religion has been the basis of every war and conflict. The middle ages is a common example and that's what I think the knight was about.
