Tomita rip. He is one of my synth heroes. The debussey album is my favorite but i have them all. I wish tomita used more bass. He had moog system ?55?. He had the world's best bass haha.
Too few give the uno family proper respect. They are fun and sound great. Not too many synths have the dual filters with spacing. Matriarch,unopro,unoprox. Any others? The effect section sounds a little cleaner than the first uno pro. If y'all notice, Daniel doesn't have his Meris delay pedal in the setup. The internal effects are good. The unos have the most fun factor of all my synths for me, but I'm a little on the spectrum so maybe that's why. This may change when the take5 shows up lol. (my wallet hates Daniel so bad) I actually like the tweak-knob page system on the first 2 unos. Used gear dept has a couple of Uno's if someone wants to try one really cheap. Finally, I don't see enough here to justify replacing the old unopro, especially since I'm keyboard not beatmaker.
With all love and respect for the amazing guru that Mr. Fisher is, I (humorously) challenge him to make a synth demo without using the phrase “very powerful”! 😊
Nice demo, as always, of what seems to be a capable design. At the price other than being tiny I am not sure who it is for? A lousy $100 more gets you Deepmind 6, MiniFreak, or Hydrasynth Explorer! (Less used of course) SE-02 is also fairly cramped, but not this much and can be had used at very attractive prices. Imagine if all creativity at Roland had not left the building 20+ years ago and they had built that full size with the EXT Box capabilities onboard and in 4 octave keyboard form with a quality keybed? They would not have been able to keep up with demand.
You nailed it. The size is amazing with the feature set though. For me, the portability + fun factor + higher quality build than previous models, make the USPX worth the price tag.

I love mine - my only wish/want would have been to have the ui matched with the keyboard on the original pro. So much fun!

If you add some portamento will/ can it produce the searing ELP Old Castle Blues synth lead sound ?
Next evolutionary update hopefully will be a 4 part multitimbral 16 voice analog poly synth 🤣
