Also the moving jumpshots, BUMP STEALS, missing layups just cause someone is near you, the steal glitch is still in the game where you steal the ball and they steal it right back, your players can't catch the ball without bobbling or fumbling it for a second to allow the defense to get in position, and the fouls especially the one when you jump behind the guy and it's a auto foul! #FixYoGame2k
Jonah ware Exactly, especially with the fumbling the ball in the paint. Like my guy is a seven foot, 300+ lb center that was picked up by an NBA team based off of talent alone (despite being a forced 60 OVR), so why would he ever struggle with the EXTREME basic of CATCHING the ball?

You missed a few... • the steal animation where you slap the ball handler rather than reaching for the ball. • when you press square to steal and your player hugs the ball hander. • when you have your hand in the players face and he shoots and the ball bounces in • when you go for a layup and it hits the backboard • when you try to pump fake and he shoots • when you are wide open for an easy shot and he does a fade away • when your player falls on the ground after a layup and then your opponent scores • when you're in the post and go for a shot and the player goes for a contested layup and airballs • when you go for a lob and it goes out of bounds (even with a playmaker)
I hate the animation when you go up for a standing layup and you get stripped and your player throws his arms and legs all over the place, instead of trying to recover the ball.
My least favorite animation when you are out of energy and your player throws his hands up heading to the basket or you go up for a layup and the defense completely swipes the ball out your hands.
i was playing 2k17 mycareer, i pulled off a crap noob juke to the rim, slipped my defender with enough room to dunk, got blocked by the guy facing the other way, i watched the reply, the blocker never touched the ball, facing away from me

Biggest problem with nba period. They need a rework of their motion capturing so its more authentic, make a 6 foot guy go against a 7 foot guy, the animations you'll get will be more realistic.
Number one is so relatable. One time I was down by two in a late game situation, and when I passed it to open deandre jordan, he decides to do a ridiculous windmill dunk which gets blocked and I lose the game. I was so pissed.
The dunk animation can easily be fixed, just dont use the square button, you'll get a random dunk every time. Pull your right analog stick towards the basket for a simple dunk or hold it to the sides for a side tomahawk. People need to stop using the square button, yes its convenient but you have a wide arrange of moves using the right analog.
The catching in this 2k is awful. You can have gold glue hands and bobble wide open, pinpoint passes. Not to mention that if you try to pass to someone that has an opposing player anywhere near them they bobble it and turn it over
that's my biggest pet peeve with this game, i've missed out on so many assists because my teammates can't even hold on to the ball when I pass it to them

When a person out of there archetype do something the opposite archetype does say a pure slasher hits two threes back to back to win. 11. 2Kness, for example when your playing blacktop or some shit using Yao Ming’s against Isaiah Thomas just for VC then IT gets like 3 animations rebounds over you like your not 7’6 to his 5’9 .
I hate how when the ball gets loose you have to literally dive on the floor to get it and then it takes like three seconds for you to pass the ball to one of your teammates.
The reason you do fancy dunks and get blocked is because your using square to dunk, using the right stick you have more control over what dunk your myplayer does

I have the opposite problem. My players take heavy contested layups instead of open pullups when I try to do a pullup. I hate that this year,if you hold turbo, you can take a layup from near the 3 point line. It cost me so many easy open pullups
There's no way you have a top 5 worst animations without the "steal" animation in which you're playing off ball defense and when you jump the passing lane instead of attempting to tip the pass, your player (literally) turns around, jumps straight up off of one foot & flails his arms in the air. Like nothing about the animation is related to basketball but of course it's in 2k smfh

I've been trying to rid myself of those ridiculous reverse dunks...I hate them b/c that animation kicks in @ the worst possible times. The flash bang grenade stupor thing is annoying. I also hate poking the ball free defensively, only for it to result in a improved score opportunity for the opposition.
Also, when a player is passed th ball and there’s a defender within 5 feet, the ball automatically goes into the defender’s hands. And also, no one can catch the ball anyway if the pass is 10 feet or further.
The worst is when you go up for a layup and then the ball just kinda falls out of your hands and you just jump up while the ball goes out of bounds and the other team gets it😤
I’m pretty sure this was fixed in 2k18 but in 2k17 when you go for a layup and all of a sudden they do a euro step away from the basket and the throw the ball out of bounds

I've been trying to rid myself of those ridiculous reverse dunks...I hate them b/c that animation kicks in @ the worst possible times. The flash bang grenade stupor thing is annoying. I also hate poking the ball free defensively, only for it to result in a improved score opportunity for the opposition.
One thing I would do about the special dunk animations is just not equip them because of how easy they can get blocked
Isaac Hairston Pust the right stick up when you trying to dunk and you'll go for a easy 2 hand dunk unless you have back scratchers on.
Also, when a player is passed th ball and there’s a defender within 5 feet, the ball automatically goes into the defender’s hands. And also, no one can catch the ball anyway if the pass is 10 feet or further.
I hate when you get a steal then the camera angle turns around and your pushing up on your stick then you get a backcourt violation
You forgot where when you pass it on a fast break and your teammates (usually centers and power forwards) fumble the ball for no reason
If you want to stop the random dunks turn off park dunks and there will be a higher percentage of making it
The worst is when you go up for a layup and then the ball just kinda falls out of your hands and you just jump up while the ball goes out of bounds and the other team gets it😤
I’m pretty sure this was fixed in 2k18 but in 2k17 when you go for a layup and all of a sudden they do a euro step away from the basket and the throw the ball out of bounds

My most annoying: I press square to steal and apparently touching a players back is a reach in, touching the ball is reach in. The draw fouls are just a sack of shit, it’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen. 2K needs to fix their shitty little game.
