Hello. First, I just want to say thank you. This is all great information presented with organization and relevancy. This is all so so helpful to an aspiring MSC applicant.
I have a long-term question about tax optimization because contracts/deployments seem to be 9 months minimum and some aspire to live in areas like Baja Mexico. What should one do about state residency if one does not intend to live in the US during time off? And even if one does choose to live in US, should they own or rent a property in a state like Florida?
Thanks for the kind comments and question! 💯 ruclips.net/video/9OGhNt0g8YY/видео.html
Amazing content big boss
Appreciate the kind words. 🙏
I am 44 years of age with no experience working out at sea. I am 15k in credit card debt clean background no kids no wife. Assuming i get the twic my passport etc do you think they would take me by my 45th birthday? I am willing to go out and work my arse off for 17 years to build a retirement. The job market has been unkind to me imo I did finally land an ok job making 20 per hour this week after being laid off a month ago. I would love to go learn how to do important things and help my country. What are your thoughts on the matter? Of course i left a like and subscribe and been checking out a majority of your videos.
Thanks for being here. As long as you are physically fit..... I would give it spin.
@@thewanderingmariner Thank you sir I am willing to dedicate 15 years of my life to go help my country. I made dumb decisions imo in my 20s and 30s not crominial not a wife just had to help my father in a family business that really never made money. He died in 2020 and I been wroking mostly meh jobs with not a lot on my resume. I will give it a go and hopefully get accepted by my 45th birthday. I am 5ft 8 inches 200 pounds so chunky yes obese no
Thank you for your content! Are you able to do a video on medical requirements?
Yes, there will be something in the near future 😀. Thanks for being here
how would this work with veterans' preference. should i claim veterans' preference? i was active duty for 14 years discharged with honorable discharged but when i join the reserves i was discharged with OTH. can this hurt the hiring process.
A OTH isn't a show stopper, providing the reason. If the issue that caused the OTH is still a problem 🙄.... then it may preclude your hiring. Apply, what's the worst outcome 🤔.
Can you work with msc and siu at the same time?
Yeah, kind off. You can be in the Union and work for MSC. However, actively working for both on a real... full time basis. No
@@thewanderingmariner thanks brother
What if your young and don’t really have a credit score
And bank debt
Well, I would research a secured credit card from your bank and get a debit card as well. You will need credit to buy a car or house one day.
i heard siu don’t care about debt
Too a point, correct. If you have issues with bad debt... it could affect your TWIC. However, you are correct... the Union really doesn't care.
