Symbols and Signs by Vladimir Nabokov | Short Story Tuesday

Today I'm talking a short story that focuses on a man and woman attempting to visit their son in an asylum. The make a long trek only to be turned away due to one of his outbursts. As they go home, we learn more about their personal struggles and witness strange phone calls to their house. I like how Nabokov writes about these life struggles and utilizes referential mania as a storytelling tool. Maybe check this one out?
