Thanks! I'm trying to filter by using the comparisons feature and hostname dimension, but it does not show my subdomains. Is there something that I'm doing wrong?
I tried this, but I have 14 subdomains all having their own property in Search Console. GA4 only permits 1 link to Search Console. Is my search console set up incorrectly perhaps?
Thanks for the video I have a doubt i have 2 subdomains and both are single page application Do I need to add each sub domains and main domain as separate property?
where do we see the differentiated data? It all just looks to be coming from the same place subdomain or not with no way of telling what content visitors are seeing. Nothing says shop. for my client's site. I just shows subdirectories.ugh... This shouldn't be this hard.
Hi there, what options do we have in GA4 to track all data per language. In Universal, we have each language as different view, in GA4 its not clear which option could be. Each language for us is considered as different market with own users.
Great Video Julius! very helpful, thank you. i have several qustions, how we can differentiate the landing page among domain and all subdomains in GA4 Reporting. Because GA4 reported page path for Homesite only with "/" and we have no idea, whether it landed for domain or for subdomains. and why so many Landingpage as (not set). thank you for ur help.
I had to dig around to find this, but ultimately I was able to filter by dimension "Hostname," which listed out my various subdomains. (Go to Engagement>Pages and Screens and then add filter for hostname, then select from various dimension values)
Great video! How can I exclude subdomains that I am not interested in? How do you recommend to deal with development subdomains? thank you very much! 🙏
What about export in BigQuery ? Session traffic source and collected_traffic source are set to NULL when a visitor switches to a new subdomain when navigating on the website, what is weird :S Is it a BigQuery bug or expected behavior?
Great video, thanks! I have a question about tracking conversions across sub-domains. We have a conversion event when a customer moves to a paid account, but those conversions are all attributed to our payment page, which is on a sub-domain. We're using last-click as the attribution model currently in GA4, would changing this to first touch enable us to see which landing pages are driving paid conversions?
This video still doesn't answer what I am trying to figure out. If I have two subdomains, I appreciate I don't have to set up cross-domain tracking - which is what this video says - but how can I look only at the traffic for one subdomain or the other one? On Universal Analytics, I had one property (with the name of the organisation) and different views (all site, one subdomain, the other subdomain). So essentially I could look at the website traffic of all sites or each subdomain separately, which is hugely important for reporting. Do you know how to set this up?

Thank you for your awesome videos! What if I have different UA Properties for different subdomains. Now with the GA4 I can track all subdomains easily in one property. How do we connect all old properties in one GA4 and keep the UA properties for historical data?
You can't connect old UA properties to GA4. Just create a new GA4 property and start tracking all subdomains with it. GA4 and UA are completely different platforms and tools. Data is not shared between them.
@@AnalyticsMania Thanks for the prompt reply. What if I create new GA4 properties for all UA Properties for my subdomains. Is this enough?
Awesome! I have a few sites where my site structure is example.com for free content, then pro.example.com for premium content (sales pages), and then a pay.example.com for a checkout system (like ThriveCart or SamCart). GA4 is attributing conversions to the Checkout subdomain, What is the solution to this?

With segments, filters, or comparisons by using page hostname dimension
