- A quick post burn review of the new size 3 wick Witches Brew from Yankee Candle. I did have a little trouble with weak wicks halfway through the 1st burn. 2nd burn, the wicks did better. Although, even with the weak wicks, I did achieve a full pool on both the 1st and 2nd burn.
Sounds like you need to recreate Witches Brew. I remember a time when my whole house smelled of Witches Brew. I only needed a couple candles. I also remember when the throw got lighter and lighter as each year passed. It’s hard to think that I used to light any Yankee classic jar and it would permeate through my whole house. I moved away from Yankee after being disappointed year after year. Witches Brew is the only Yankee candle I care about anymore or bother to check reviews on just hoping that maybe that old throw and strength will be back one day. Every year the disappointment hits me right in the heart.
@it32002 My expectations were muted. I've been working on a dupe for a while, but those scents are just not throwers. I keep trying though 🎃
The WB wax melts always threw well for me. Sadly they’ve been discontinued.
I feel exactly the same way, it hurts my heart.
This was my all time favorite Halloween candle 15 years ago and it was a thrower. I saved an old candle and light it on Halloween for an hour. It is so disappointing that it has become such a lousy thrower. Thanks for the review.

I’m surprised a candle company hadn’t duped this but make it improved. This would also be a hella killer fragrance line as well ~

This is my all-time favorite candle of any brand and I can barely smell it when it's lit. Such a shame. Thanks for the review. I'm buying a few just to keep in my collection for the day when Yankee goes under and I can't get my Witches' Brew fix.
@Kilvira I hope that doesn't happen, but I agree with the strength of it. I've tried myself, but that particular blend of notes just doesn't throw well. I use a combination of candle and scent cups when I need a fix but it's still limited to a small space. 🎃
Thanks for a great video. Like you, every year I purchase Witches Brew as it is my tradition and has always been my go to Halloween candle. I hope Yankee will get back to making it so that WB will be a power thrower as it was in the past. Also like you, I love the smell of clove. I hope you can create a great smelling clove candle/wax melts. The original Haunted House by Kringle was an amazing clove smelling candle. Sad that the second iteration of that candle was nothing like the first. Love your wax melts and I hope to purchase some candles when you can make them again. Take care!

i feel like the 2018ish 14.5 paraffins did throw tho! that's why it's so frustrating- I KNOW they used to make a witches brew that actually threw. maybe not enough to fill a room but like a good 5-8 feet and it was strong in that radius
I've had a couple of older ones that were OK. I will have to look up the years 🎃
I agree, witches brew is never a high thrower but that scent is absolutely amazing that I will continue to buy it .

@@SouthofSanityCandles Aw man, really hope it’s not the only new scent b/c I am not interested in rose smelling candles for Halloween -ugh. But if anything, I will be buying the hurricane jar and lamps -those are super cute. I have so much witches brew but have to buy the single apothecary jar for the label- at least 3! Haha 🕷🕷🕷

Do you think the single wick paraffin throws better than the 2-wick Signature tumbler nowadays? Which do you prefer? 🤔
@srainey7946 No. Normally in my experience, paraffin throws better than soy. However, with Yankee, the 2 wicks have performed better than the single wicks. I don't think it's a wax issue, I believe the 2nd wick just helps the signatures throw better.
