Not really, their society is honestly very rude. Btw Lia Kim sounds nice and calm in interview, but she’s very hard on herself and her coworkers when they have to perform. She will train as much as needed until reaching perfection, even if that requires her to dance more than 16 hours a day
RazgriFPSB They are not all sweet and friendly ofcourse, but not the entire society is rude. I think generalize such a thing is not a great idea to have.
@@kfx3907 I'm not generalizing anything, but as toxic as Western societies can be, the pressure in South Korea is just on another level. I have friends with parents originally from Korea. They've been to the country almost every year since birth and talk a lot to their family in Seoul. They told me how thankful they are for the fact that their parents left South Korea, because they couldn't have kept up with Koreans stupidly high expectations for many all aspects of daily life. And there is a single number that's pretty telling of that: the suicide rate in the population. In the different rankings, South Korea is the ONLY developed country ranked in the top 5-10. Even Japan who had a long stigma managed to somehow improve the situation. Now, I'm not saying there is a problem with Korean people, I'm sure most of them are very nice persons. However, something is definitely wrong in the expectations of the collective mindset.
