This year I’m going to do a low buy… when I get bored, I’ll buy something just to make me feel good… not this year! I told a friend about it and she said “that’s what I want to do too” so, I have a friend who is willing to help me and I’ll do the same thing for her 🙏✨☺️💕 happy new year 🎆 to everyone who is watching your channel ❤

I have subscribed to many channels but I stick with yours. Yours is a journey instead of a package and I learn from you, even though you are young. You are wise and generous in sharing. Jean, retired professor. 🌺❤️🙂

I also like baby steps, small routines, atomic habits, plenty of spare time, self care, getting into the flow, being grateful.

I want to reduce and ultimately eliminate my depression and anxiety drug. I have a new ADHD diagnosis with new meds that I love! I’m talking to my doctor on Monday to discuss this. I see my endocrinologist today to check in with my PCOS. No more guessing games with my health in 2025.

I have a motto: Babystepping my way to a better life. This helps me to focus on something small to keep me going so that I do not become overwhelmed with big things. Thank-you for a lovely channel. All the best for a great 2025!

You have said the truth in so many ways!! One thing I will definitely do in 2025 is stop trying to please everyone and helping them. My adult kids especially! Time to focus on me and watch you of course! 😍

INFJ and HSP struggles are REAL! I have the same issues!! Analysis paralysis! What to do about finances, absorbing other's energy, catastrophizing, and getting stuck! Keep the great ideas coming! ❤

The one about less screen time and reading books instead, is near the top of my list along with celebrating small wins. Also, reducing the number of major projects from 3 to 2.
I'm definitely better off after watching this one.

I'm much older than you and I still manage to sit on the floor. It's the "getting up" that's the problem! Thanks for today's video. I really needed to hear this today.

I struggle with a lot of the same things but from an ADHD perspective. I am not a perfectionist but I am indecisive. Also lots of ADHD people have rejection sensitivity which makes us think people are mad at us and we tend to ruminate too. But also I am highly empathetic so I can feel people energy and can feel something is wrong even if it isn't because of me but that gets exhausting. I also have poor working memory so my memory sucks. 😂 But my brain does retain stuff.... But I can't always access it unless something else brings it to the surface. I pair videos with chores. Dishes laundry and such. So it is productive and keeps my brain busy so I don't have my constant thoughts distracting me. So it is a tool for me.

I was told two years ago I was diagnosed with adhd and I am 31. I was never treated for it. My mom said she worried to give me medicine. I never went to the doctor for. Your experience sounds just like me. I play video or soft music to get things done in my house. Sometimes I feel like I make my fiance frustrated because of my adhd. I understand things yet I forget when we talk finaces. Its a lot at once. Or I am told we are ok but then we are not.
So this year if I don't need it, I don't want it. I already buy less. I want to see how far we can go by not buying wants. Most the debt is do to car break downs, food, rent . Important stuff. I also learned not to over work myself. I had 3 jobs this year and still felt like it wasn't good enough. I also delighted chores for my kids and fiance already does all his stuff. I also learned sitting relaxing is important.

Excellent video, especially for those of us who are getting used to a new normal, whether aging/perimenopause or dealing with a newly diagnosed mental or physical health condition. I'm going through all of the above, so I had to basically scrap everything (such as perfectionism and ambitious to-do lists) and just celebrate the small wins as you suggested.

Every time you say baby steps that makes me think about What About Bob. That movie is a fave of mine. ❤ Also a great movie to think about getting out of comfort zones and living life.

I have all the same problems. Now I say,"Let go let God"
If it is meant to happen, it will happen. Living in the present moment really helps.

I call catastrophizing, awfulizing and I do it myself. I have a problem with the same things. Thanks for talking about these topics and issues and how you are dealing with them. I am also going to make some changes this year too. I don’t know if I can be as brave as you and get rid of all my old to do projects? I wish! But I certainly see the benefit to doing that. I definitely try not to make commitments anymore. I’m already overwhelmed. ❤

Such a great video Laura. I love that you are slowing things down and focusing on the important bits of life we often put aside. Those are the things that fill us up. ❤ Love that you turned last year around and I look forward to your new year and to mine as well. I need a fresh year. Last year was a rough one for me. I am sick and exhausted and my mood has been crud too. ❤

    ... I resemble that remark 😅
It seems a lot of us have a knack for these same pitfalls. Thank you for your insights, and suggested steps forward from them 😊 I wanna be more constructive instead of just (nett neutral) productive next year, for sure! Working on my life audit now 💗 cheers!
