I totally resonated with your reaction because I just love these two together so much. This was just such a treat for fans, especially doing the older Mamamoo songs and Moon Byul singing the vocal parts we always knew she could sing. The dynamics of these two are among my favorites in Mamamoo. They're just cuteness overload together and funny even without trying. Solar is hot as always. But Moonbyul has become so pretty recently that I'm really overwhelmed ! Apart from their stunning looks they have proved once more that both of them are incredibly talented artists. This is top tier ! And last but not least: Moonsun is the most perfect couple in the whole Kpop - world. Who could not love them ?
I love Honey (Moonbyul Ver.) SO MUCH without an ounce of guilt because Lunatic (Solar Ver.) is just as good. I think it's entirely appropriate that Moonsun's songs are fully interchangeable. That makes a lot of fun to watch and listen. It would be funny and nice if the maknae-line would did something similar with their solo and some of the mamamoo-songs.
This is just absolutely the best thing ever. Over and above their impeccable covers of each others songs the amount of fun they are having together is so infectious. I was thinking about various 2 member combinations and I think Solar/Moonbyul has done the most. I'm not that fond of Angel Solar/Wheein, I just remembered there is a trainee vid No Cool I'm Sorry that is awesome. Dab Dab Moonbyul/Hwasa is good. Solar/Hwasa there is their Christine Agulera cover of Save Me From Myself, which is great. I can't think of a Moonbyul/Wheein song, though they often harmonize together.
I may have already recommended this, but if these two are your bias, you need to check out MoonSun videos, the "ship" between Moonbyul and Solar. Some of the best are MoonSun on Crack by Tomiskus, but there are literally hundreds. They took a trip together in a camper van for Moonbyul's channel, they went on a vacation together to a cottage for a TV show about a dog, and they went on a weekend together for Solar's channel right after she appeared in a magazine shoot with a GUY, OMG. (Exaggeration for effect.) But it practically screamed, "I'm in the doghouse with Moonbyul and this is how I get out of it."
