Makes me think that most of these minimalist contemporary "mansions" are tax write-offs in some way, like if owners claim the house is primarily for corporate usage, the cost of maintenance could be considered a business expense and allowing the costs to be deducted from their taxes.

Love your review Arvin. Apparently the architect thought that the staircase was the wow factor and never thought you would find it ugly or that Enes would struggle to get up it at an altitude of 7,000 feet. Agree with you that the concept of this disjointed house is terrible especially when it comes to safety. Watching Enes walk around made me nervous he might miss a step and fall. There are so many problems. The kitchen seemed like a hallway. Did you notice how the floating mirrors in the bathrooms are not positioned high enough for Enes?

There are too many things going on in this horrendous construction, but I'm just going to point out that clearly the architect and everyone involved in the construction only cared about creating that hideous roof, and then they adapted everything else to the space they had.
They didn't care about planning where the main bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc. were. They built the roof and then improvised the rest.

I agree with you on this one 100% - It's in Park City, it's supposed to be a Ski Chalet, looks more like some corporate retreat where exec's meet in a boardroom and have their meals catered to them. The design is indeed creative, but not at all functional as an abode in a ski resort.

This was such a great video, Arvin. Thank you. For me, I think I'd need a shot coming in that front door and going up those steps. Also, the entire tour, I was just thinking how many toddler death traps this house contains. Take out the furniture and put some handholds on the stone walls and you could have a rad rock climbing/skate park combo, though.

I like a lot of the Utah homes, I remember when I saw this the part I liked about this house was how they used the same stone for three different textures/surfaces/appearances. Having learned so much from you since then, I think this building would be better torn down and build a usable home somewhere on the 30+ acres.

I'm favoured, $22K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America.

This is not a home. It looks like a quintessential Tech Company Startup HQ from the early 2000s. Swing and a miss. This guy will be lucky to sell for 8 million. Even the land layout is horrible. Best you could do is remodel each cube into individual suites with kitchenette and Air B&B during ski season.

Another wonderful example of giving an architect so much leeway that they care more about how the project images on their website will look rather than delivering a thoughtful, usable, inviting home for the client. It happens FAR too much.

I remember when Ennis released this thinking that it reminded me more a cinder block building along the edge of an old highway that housed some dive bar than any home up in PC.

Interesting place for a movie villain to have their main office at. The movie's hero can start on one end of the building and slowly work their way up through the structure taking out multiple henchmen, each a little bit more difficult to defeat than the previous one. Heck, can even throw some puzzle death rooms in there to spice things up. That's all I can see in this house.

The first bar at top of the stairs is your reward if you make it up there!😂 You crack me up with the lizard take design & the TI83 comment. No great room & find the kitchen??! This property is soulless and cold.

I liked the area. Would love to ice skate on the reservoir(dutch hobby). I watched this tour this morning. I think Caernarfon Castle is more inviting than this building, and that building is also custom made. Warm colors and wool rugs, and curved furniture are indeed needed. Other worry is insurance. Replacing custom made stuff is expensive.
