Heard this an immediately thought this would sound good heavier, so i started work on it yesterday and managed to get it written and recorded in under 24 hours. Im loving taking the vocals and adding my own drums / bass / guitar around it. Ive hit a brick wall so many times when ive recorded a cover and then tried to add my own vocals so this gets around that lol.

ah sick production lad! Great light effects too! I know asked this before, what gear are you using? what's that guitar?

Thanks mate, The guitar is the ML3 Bea sig from chapman (baritone model) fantastic guitar, All my tones where coming from the Kemper with the bass just being a DI (using the same track twice and distorting one to make almost a treble bass track) but since I picked up the quad cortex I use it for all my tones including bass as its crazy versatile.
But tbh the biggest improvement I found was by learning simple mixing. I chased tone after tone only to find that its the mix that makes a massive difference to how the final product sounds. Ive honestly loved (and hated at times) the process of tweaking each mix, its like a puzzle. If you want any specifics though just let me know! always happy to share what ive learnt
