The problem with Rose Gold Meteor is that it doesn’t take effect right away once a burst mage (for example eudora) does their quick combo on you, either their dmg is way too high before the shield could even appear or they alrdy have Divine Glaive to fully negate the item’s magic defense. I’ve tried numerous times of the item for marksmen as their only magic res item and let’s just say its not good xD so the only best idea to get this item is when the mage hasn’t build Divine Glaive so Rose Gold Meteor has a slighter chance of triggering and also don’t consider it as ur only magic res item for dps heroes, their hp is often too small to have little magic res like rose gold meteor to help them survive a combo. It’s better to be safe than sorry by selling it for Athena Shield instead in the late game cuz that’s when the burst mage heroes dmg is through the roof for Rose Gold Meteor to handle. My suggestion would be to increase its magic res bonus or increase the shield or lower its requirement. Cuz rn it’s a really situational item.
True, Rose Gold is only built in early when there is a magic damage threat like Johnson roaming the map. Gold Laners only though, there are better choices for Exp Laners. Its just that Rose Gold provides some damage and a tiny amount of lifesteal.
Quick note on physical penetration items. If the enemy you want to kill is below 50 physical defense, Heptaseas and hunterstrike are better. But if your enemy has more than 50 physical defense it is better to have a malefic roar.
Tip for Penetration: If your flat pen value exceeds the enemy's defense value (either magic or physical), it will trigger negative defense in which your damage will deal MORE damage than stated in the skill description. The lowest defense the enemy can have with your penetration is -60, in which your damage will deal 2 TIMES more damage When building heptaseas or hunter's strike (I usually like to build both), prioritize fury hammer (component with 12 pen) as it can boost your damage early before completing the item For mages that deal continuous damage, I use arcane boots (10 flat mag pen) and prioritize genius wand immediately (its passive reduces the enemy's magic defense, plus it has 10 flat mag pen) since most heroes have 15 mag def early game Heroes that can easily trigger negative defense on enemies - Dyrroth (2nd skill, -50% or -75% phy def on enemy) - Zilong (2nd skill, reduces phy def by 15-30, scales with skill level) - Saber (passive, reduces phy def by 3-8 per hit, stacks up to 5 times, max 15-40 phy def reduction) - Chou (2nd skill, increases his phy pen by 15-40, scales with level) - Harley (passive, reduces mag def by 2 per hit, stacks up to 10 times, max 20 mag def reduction) I typically build heptaseas, malefic roar, hunter's strike (in that order) for max penetration Mage Emblem with maxed pen stat will give 20 flat mag pen and Assassin Emblem with maxed pen stat will also give 20 flat phy pen, so use them for maximum penetration stats Additional tip: Penetration works for ALL damage that you deal, the enemy having -60 phy def from your flat phy pen also makes blade armor passive deal 2× more damage, as well as heptaseas passive, demon hunter sword passive (which makes passive deal 18% current hp damage, THAT'S A LOT). Also, when I finish building Heptaseas and Hunter's Strike, I buy another fury hammer (component of both items) because as mentioned, it has 12 pen and some phy atk, combined with the the two complete items you have a total of 42 flat phy pen (62 if you have assassin emblem equipped), in total, chou has the highest flat phy pen (102 to be exact) when built with these 3 items, countering almost everybody that even buys defense items that lane against him (add malefic roar for the best anti armor experience, regardless if they buy armor or not, you'll be one step ahead) Edit: Been a year and this still applies but since assassin emblem has been nerfed in terms of Pen, it will be lesser penetration for everybody, right now Lunox can easily achieve 100% Magic Pen with Fighter emblem then with Festival of blood (Remember her passive, Light converts Percent Magic Pen to Spell Vamp, Dark converts Spell Vamp to Percent Magic pen, in easier terms, Concentrated energy's 20% Spell Vamp on her in dark mode gives her 20% Magic Pen instead, while divine glaive's 40% magic pen in light mode becomes 40% spell vamp)
@@dark_2.00 oh and to add some extra note: skill/passive that reduces any kind of defense like dyrroth 2nd skill, saber passive, and genius wand passive. Can't stack properly with percentage penetration (malefic roar/divine glaive) so combining them wouldn't be a good choice unless enemy defense is too big

Queen's wings can also considered as a attack dmg with def attributes, since it gives 15+ phy att, 10% cd reduction and 900+ hp. The unique passive is the reason why Queen's wings is a def item because it can give 20% dmg reduction and it can also increase your spellvamp up to 35% in 5s.
also just note that the unique attribute of +15 pen does stack, just not with the same item. Hunter Strike and Blade of Heptaseas will both give you +30 pen
Correction: Windtalker’s CD decreases with crit chance, not attack speed (By 50% it’s already at a 3 s CD). The damage however scales with attack speed.

While bloodlust axe does get countered by anti heal, heroes like Yu Zhong and Yin can still benefit a lot from them, that reason being they both have the same role in a teamfight, going for the weaker, backline of the enemy, while the tank with anti heal items is left at front, meaning they cannot put that item to good use. Also bloodlust is just good for surviving in general, whenever I use Yu Zhong, I almost never have to recall from the stupendous amount of hp I can heal with his spell vamp

Hallo Nico, I wannna ask if you'll make one for Defense and Magic, I really need it! If not, it's alright :] Your ML Guides help me quite alot and it keeps me hooked to your channel, the explanation and humor rlly makes me stay more!
Hey MLG! I have a small suggestion regarding the item guides. When I just started the game, I was able to read every individual item and it's passive effects. But the problem came when these items and passives are actually effective. What I'd like instead of an item wise guide, is to make a situational wise guide. For example, let's just start with marksmen. Most marksmen depend on basic attack and the best way to enhance their damage is to increase the attack speed and critical chance. Then proceed to explain what items can be used. From there, you can proceed to explain why certain marksmen like Claude won't be effective with critical hit items (due to less basic attack damage), but instead, use stacking damage items and DHS + Golden Staff items are best in that "Situation". In this way, it would be easy for beginners to connect the dots and understand much better. You can then move forward to fighters with skills and Bloodlust Axe. Like that, start with a situation and then explain the corresponding items. This way, many people can analyse the situation and try to remember about the items. I'd like this channel to be different from other YT channels about MLBB. So guys, what do you think about this? Should Nico do guides like item wise or situation wise?
Fun fact the ff: - golden staff - it also stacks w/ Corrosion Scythe - Endless Battle - its true damage they also stack w/ Thunder Belt’s True Damage w/c also stacks w/ heroes w/ true damage like Karrie and Lesley. - Bloodlust Axe - True Damage is considered as a Skill Damage so any True Damage will give you spell vamp.
Thank you for this. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for something like this. I’m usually going with Betoskys builds but I’ve noticed I do play different with some heroes he uses and since I don’t fully understand items yet I struggle to build 😅.
it's sickening that a large portion of players in my country are oblivious to item effects or hero passives, like Saber using Heptaseas, Ruby using Haas Claws, or a mate that still buys WoN even though the enemy team consists of 4-5 magic heroes. yes Heptaseas is useless for Saber because most of the time, Saber will use his shurikens or ultimate first before using his basic. and Ruby won't get any lifesteal from her basic attack. when i see my teammates like that, i'm pretty sure i will lose unless there's a miracle or opponent's stupidity.
If you were sarcastic then ignore as I rant about how wrong you are because I don't trust the internet ppl to be smart by default. Your the one who doesn't know your own hero passive Heptaseas greatly boosts his PEN power and procs his passive an additional times before ulting giving great boost to his dmg. Old Ruby literally gains more lifesteal effects from lifesteal items than spellvamp
Aside from karrie there are other heroes than can shred with golden staff Helcurt skill 2 is counted as basic attack and the his stacks easily fills Dyrroth passive triggers more often My experience with golden staff is it can go well with Windtalker if you're using wanwan (if you need that extra attack speed) otherwise don't
Isn't Leslie and YSS the same class of heroes? Marksman/assassin. Why does Leslie not benefit from war axe like yss? Because yss can fight close range?
I actually buy Dominance Ice with Esmeralda everytime. It has been affected by my muscle memory, so I unconsciously buy it. Now, I wonder if she indirectly weakens herself for that. Ex: Enemy Estes used Aegis after Esmeralda applied Life Drain/the anti-heal to him. So, does Esmeralda only receive 50% shield from Estes?
I think only the passive of Esme (giving shield to enemy) doesn't get reduced by Anti Heal All other sources of shield does but her passive doesn't Well by logic anyways, I just recently learnt that Akai silences targets not knockbacks them as the skill desc say
i have a question, with unique passive unable to be stacked can you use certain items 'mini' version as a substitute? like dreadnaught snd cuirass, molten core and cursed helmet
Nope, they still won’t stack, ONLY their base attributes can be. It is just the no.1 rule in items to never buy the same higher cost item twice or more that has unique passives. Only exception would be if ur after their base attributes only such as Blade of Despair (for phy heroes) or Bloodwings (for magic heroes)
Biggest issue with items currently is that there is no longer a reduction effect for criticals on anything. Meaning if someone builds crit build, half their attacks will negate whatever you are trying to do regarding defense.
0:22 spare equipment exists right? When I'm using the spare item , I wouldn't notice that the next item would be prioritized as my next item is the item that is supposedly replaced by the spate item. I need much attention when I'm using spare equipment to always use the prioritize button when I'm using spare equipment otherwise i need to sell items and that's kinda a waste of gold.
Cant wait though for his " how to counter all heroes series "thqts gonna be so fun and useful at the same time . I wanna know how to counter pest assassins like selena
the problem i have with items is my DAMN TEAMMATES I cant count how many times my epical glory teammate used wind of nature AGAINST MAGES and attack speed items on granger and fkin lifesteal on skillcaster and spell vamp on basic attack heroes this is why i quit ml, fkin breandead epical glory teammates
If you're still seeing comments on this video, Saber's Spell Vamp nerf was reverted back in the first edition of* Project Next. He now gets 100% heal on all skills.
Everybody's problem with building is you'll have 3 custom classes of magic defense a physical defense and a and a neutral defense but nobody knows or wants to actively build and constantly be checking what the enemy is building to counter or rebuilding something to kill a specific enemy ect. That's basically what the game becomes. You have to sweat to get past legend to mythic. Also drafting is like 80% of the game as well.
Idea for new content: make 1 minute youtube shorts and explain how to counter heroes in enemy team, how to recounter if u get countered, how to counter if enemy recountered,(from chosing counter hero to counter item, this items counter and recountering item's counter item, invading which buff for which hero and etc.)
Devs should make a pierce invincibility item. Like maybe u have to click it to activate and for the next 3 secs 10-15% of ur dmg pierces invincibility.

Quick note on physical penetration items. If the enemy you want to kill is below 50 physical defense, Heptaseas and hunterstrike are better. But if your enemy has more than 50 physical defense it is better to have a malefic roar.
We all learned that from rubyrubyruby lol
Tip for Penetration:
If your flat pen value exceeds the enemy's defense value (either magic or physical), it will trigger negative defense in which your damage will deal MORE damage than stated in the skill description.
The lowest defense the enemy can have with your penetration is -60, in which your damage will deal 2 TIMES more damage
When building heptaseas or hunter's strike (I usually like to build both), prioritize fury hammer (component with 12 pen) as it can boost your damage early before completing the item
For mages that deal continuous damage, I use arcane boots (10 flat mag pen) and prioritize genius wand immediately (its passive reduces the enemy's magic defense, plus it has 10 flat mag pen) since most heroes have 15 mag def early game
Heroes that can easily trigger negative defense on enemies
- Dyrroth (2nd skill, -50% or -75% phy def on enemy)
- Zilong (2nd skill, reduces phy def by 15-30, scales with skill level)
- Saber (passive, reduces phy def by 3-8 per hit, stacks up to 5 times, max 15-40 phy def reduction)
- Chou (2nd skill, increases his phy pen by 15-40, scales with level)
- Harley (passive, reduces mag def by 2 per hit, stacks up to 10 times, max 20 mag def reduction)
I typically build heptaseas, malefic roar, hunter's strike (in that order) for max penetration
Mage Emblem with maxed pen stat will give 20 flat mag pen and Assassin Emblem with maxed pen stat will also give 20 flat phy pen, so use them for maximum penetration stats
Additional tip:
Penetration works for ALL damage that you deal, the enemy having -60 phy def from your flat phy pen also makes blade armor passive deal 2× more damage, as well as heptaseas passive, demon hunter sword passive (which makes passive deal 18% current hp damage, THAT'S A LOT). Also, when I finish building Heptaseas and Hunter's Strike, I buy another fury hammer (component of both items) because as mentioned, it has 12 pen and some phy atk, combined with the the two complete items you have a total of 42 flat phy pen (62 if you have assassin emblem equipped), in total, chou has the highest flat phy pen (102 to be exact) when built with these 3 items, countering almost everybody that even buys defense items that lane against him (add malefic roar for the best anti armor experience, regardless if they buy armor or not, you'll be one step ahead)
Edit: Been a year and this still applies but since assassin emblem has been nerfed in terms of Pen, it will be lesser penetration for everybody, right now Lunox can easily achieve 100% Magic Pen with Fighter emblem then with Festival of blood (Remember her passive, Light converts Percent Magic Pen to Spell Vamp, Dark converts Spell Vamp to Percent Magic pen, in easier terms, Concentrated energy's 20% Spell Vamp on her in dark mode gives her 20% Magic Pen instead, while divine glaive's 40% magic pen in light mode becomes 40% spell vamp)

"small"
@@iwantjustice9166 😅😅😅😅😂😂😂
This 🙌 would’ve helped me a lot when i started the game..
Fun fact the ff:
- golden staff - it also stacks w/ Corrosion Scythe
- Endless Battle - its true damage they also stack w/ Thunder Belt’s True Damage w/c also stacks w/ heroes w/ true damage like Karrie and Lesley.
- Bloodlust Axe - True Damage is considered as a Skill Damage so any True Damage will give you spell vamp.
The way he said, "The four marksman of DOOM", scared me more than Beatrix haha.
I have a problem with activating the passive of items and which items passive can be activated manually
15:09 WOOOOOOO, YEAH, BABY.
That's what I've been waiting for.
im so sad when my main wanwan gets banned in 90% of the matches i play
Thank you for this. You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for something like this. I’m usually going with Betoskys builds but I’ve noticed I do play different with some heroes he uses and since I don’t fully understand items yet I struggle to build 😅.
5:53 All players(except me) never learned about spell vamp logic that also works on true DMG.
it's sickening that a large portion of players in my country are oblivious to item effects or hero passives, like Saber using Heptaseas, Ruby using Haas Claws, or a mate that still buys WoN even though the enemy team consists of 4-5 magic heroes. yes Heptaseas is useless for Saber because most of the time, Saber will use his shurikens or ultimate first before using his basic. and Ruby won't get any lifesteal from her basic attack. when i see my teammates like that, i'm pretty sure i will lose unless there's a miracle or opponent's stupidity.
If you were sarcastic then ignore as I rant about how wrong you are because I don't trust the internet ppl to be smart by default.
Your the one who doesn't know your own hero passive
Heptaseas greatly boosts his PEN power and procs his passive an additional times before ulting giving great boost to his dmg.
Old Ruby literally gains more lifesteal effects from lifesteal items than spellvamp
This video can help me improve playing mlbb by 10% so I watched it ten times😎😎
Hi man. Nobody talks about line up picks in any video. Would be good to see one.
Strongwill Game Theory itemization is so far the best item builder in youtube in my opinion, it would be nice to see a collab 😁
I watch Your all video,,, its help me lot,,,, Big fan Sir
Aside from karrie there are other heroes than can shred with golden staff
Helcurt skill 2 is counted as basic attack and the his stacks easily fills
Dyrroth passive triggers more often
My experience with golden staff is it can go well with Windtalker if you're using wanwan (if you need that extra attack speed) otherwise don't
Thank you mister. Great video!
Keep uploading bro this kind of videos
17:26
I ALWAYS see players use Wind of Nature against magic enemies because of panic..... what a waste.
I love when he explains the items when he's playing nana 😂
19:43 MLG you naughty naughty 🌚
Hmm, if i remember correctly, wind of nature doesn't work against true damage right?
Yeah
Honestly Rose Gold Meteor might be the worst item to have
19:38 lol that bane😆😆😆😆😆
"Nezuko chann is so cute... So I became a demon Hunter and got a sword "
Had me laughing on the floor
Thanks for this. Now Epical Glory, Legend glory and Mythical 5 Glory will now know the anti heal items.
Thank you a really appreciate the info
Can u pls do a video for tanks
I always have issues dealing with critical damage hero's
l am so surprise that u are willing to spend time on the items . thanks
Bro literally bullying enemy with nana while explaining😅
Isn't Leslie and YSS the same class of heroes? Marksman/assassin. Why does Leslie not benefit from war axe like yss? Because yss can fight close range?
YSS is literally Assassin/Marksmen not Marksmen/Assassin
I like how at the beggining there was early brid cameo with the duck 0:08
Just the video that ive been looking for. Thanks for always giving us useful information.
That was a very informative video, will we get a magic and defense video too?
19:40 you did Bane so dirty 💀
When I play Ml
1) welcome to mobile lagging
2) 5 seconds till the lag get started
3) smash your phone
4) all noobs deployed.
6:00 spell wamp for granger is underrated. Counters assasins and enemy adc with correct placement
Tbh ml is such a overwhelming and a complex game to play as a beginner 😅😅but im sure I'll learn this throughout my ml experience
Nobody my hanabi in the team : Uses wind of nature on mages instead on assassin or Fighter,mm
"And of course the four marksman of DoOm!!" Got me hard laughing.
This is the guide that I need hohoho, SUBSCRIBED!!!
Can you do one for mages like this
Thank you very much for this guide. I don't know how it feels usually to watch a guide but yours was very interesting.
Thanks this really helped me alot. I was struggling to understand how to equip items
I think only the passive of Esme (giving shield to enemy) doesn't get reduced by Anti Heal
All other sources of shield does but her passive doesn't
Well by logic anyways, I just recently learnt that Akai silences targets not knockbacks them as the skill desc say
Bro elgin tested this, watch his video💪
i have a question, with unique passive unable to be stacked can you use certain items 'mini' version as a substitute? like dreadnaught snd cuirass, molten core and cursed helmet
In theory they might do the trick but won't have full effect as full item.
Good work as always, can you please build a guide for Brody? I still can't make what's the best item for him or if to build him tanky or with damage.
17:30
I saw a lot of people using their wind of nature while fighting a mage or a hero that deals magic damage
One question if i buy dominance ice and sea halberd will the anti regen stack?
No.
I need more guides about defense items and when to use them hahaha. thanks if u could make that :) great video tho
Agressive wanwan main here that sword is op asf for extra survival
I was kind of expecting him to mention Argus with DHS, that seems to be the first item a lot of Argus players get for him
Biggest issue with items currently is that there is no longer a reduction effect for criticals on anything. Meaning if someone builds crit build, half their attacks will negate whatever you are trying to do regarding defense.
They moved that effect onto blade armor a long time ago...
It is on blade armor now
Ok I was wondering about Baxia tho
Even tho he is a living anti heal does it decrease the healing reduction along with Dominance Ice 🤔
Yes it can reach up to 65% . This is a nightmare especially for my Esmeralda 😖
Ok thanks now I've learned something when I'm playing as Esmeralda and Baxia
Bro just teached me better than my teacher☠
19:40 that poor sushi/war lord Squidward :(
ur voice reminds me of the old guy that kidnapped kai's parents in ninjago
Tbh im more interested in listening to this guy than my actual teacher in math even if this guy adds math
3:53 wahahha dominance ice cream
I want to mention that Golden Staff also triggers Feather of Heaven's passive same as DHS. But the only hero who can use this is Zhask.
c la u de
claude sorry
Claude supp emblem w hybrid pen
I noticed it a month ago.
@@SetiKt golden staff is a must on zhask
15:09 *I already know this long ago, but
Really helpful especially for those who geniunely wanna know the Damage calculations.*
im steel using the Rosegold meteor at my main alu 😂 6:30 i didn't expected that coming
Thank you Nico for giving yourself the time to create these awesome video guides! So that we can learn more about specific stuff in Mobile Legends!
Cant wait though for his " how to counter all heroes series "thqts gonna be so fun and useful at the same time . I wanna know how to counter pest assassins like selena
the problem i have with items is my DAMN TEAMMATES I cant count how many times my epical glory teammate used wind of nature AGAINST MAGES and attack speed items on granger and fkin lifesteal on skillcaster and spell vamp on basic attack heroes
this is why i quit ml, fkin breandead epical glory teammates
If you're still seeing comments on this video, Saber's Spell Vamp nerf was reverted back in the first edition of* Project Next. He now gets 100% heal on all skills.
Everybody's problem with building is you'll have 3 custom classes of magic defense a physical defense and a and a neutral defense but nobody knows or wants to actively build and constantly be checking what the enemy is building to counter or rebuilding something to kill a specific enemy ect. That's basically what the game becomes. You have to sweat to get past legend to mythic. Also drafting is like 80% of the game as well.
"Nezuko-chan is so cute... So I became a Demon Hunter and got a Sword"
Idea for new content:
make 1 minute youtube shorts and explain how to counter heroes in enemy team, how to recounter if u get countered, how to counter if enemy recountered,(from chosing counter hero to counter item, this items counter and recountering item's counter item, invading which buff for which hero and etc.)
luv ur energy 💘
Devs should make a pierce invincibility item. Like maybe u have to click it to activate and for the next 3 secs 10-15% of ur dmg pierces invincibility.
is there an updated video of these items since some have changed in recent year
Just want to add that Berserker's Fury is also very good on leomord who has a passive which guarantees critical hits.
