I agree but will add the lack of self esteem many woman have has directly led to our current situation. Self esteem is earned through accomplishments,knowledge and experiences. Today many have low self esteem and their dressing habits reveal that. We had rules and guidelines which made things easy to explore a sense of self within the parameters. Today so many suffer anxiety because there are no affirming guidelines. I’m glad I have a daughter who earned her self esteem like I did.
Anna, I’ve been watching you for about 4 years now and when I tell you my whole wardrobe has changed for the better BELIEVE me it has!! I used to own about 30+ jeans and now I only own 2 haha 😂 Also, one day while getting ready to go to the airport, I asked myself “Hmmm 🤔 what would Anna wear to the airport?” I then put together a comfy yet, chic outfit instead of the usual sweatpants and sneakers I’d wear…. And my goodness the respect I received was insane. From gentlemen helping with my luggage to skipping long lines. I’m amazed at how just looking put together can change your life for the better. I know it sounds like an oxymoron, but I have confidence issues going fully elegant in a place were most women wear track pants and what looks to be house slippers in the grocery store. There's something about me that comes off as haughty/snobbish (even back in school as a quiet geeky acne ridden child) and wearing elegant clothes I feel would just compound that. I would love your advice and suggestions on how to navigate dressing nicely while not feeling overdressed for simple occasions like grocery shopping. I'd also love a video on elegant hiking (lol) or other fitness/exercise related activities.
i go business casual trousers + boatneck/v-neck blouse or simple dresses (boat neck or v-neck) when i'm out and about. If they want to look at me funny, they can go ahead, i'm not dressing down and tacky for the world.

It’s not just hourglass shapes that get the “riding-up” problem, many women do. I have a straighter figure nowadays, but it’s long from waist to leg break and short from waist to shoulder. Jumpsuits can be very tricky to get the right fit, we women vary so much in vertical proportions. Most jumpsuits have a too-low rise for me and are too long in the upper body, making them baggy or puffy there and/or too low-cut at the neckline. Having a few more decades than you, I stopped trying to make them work, but the one you show here is very tempting! I love the color and the Safari style, it’s super current right now, but so classic! I love it when you do these videos, with good-quality, but affordable, classic and elegant clothes (or accessories). I’m in your camp, I’d rather err on the conservative side in my outfits than risk looking cheap. Only my husband gets to see my cleavage!

I'm 150cm tall, and I love angle-length dresses. Even, I appear "longer". I wear 3-5cm heels to it. I don't have any mini dress, knee-length is the shortest I have. So, it's a huge misconception that short women can't wear long dresses 😉 Try it out, girls. There is a high chance you will look amazing!
I'm 5'4 and I find this varies in accordance with torso and leg length short girlie's with short torsos and long legs look absolutely stunning with long dresses but they would look less enraptured on short girls with longer torsos and shorter legs.

I so glad I found this channel. I am single women at 37. I change careers from working at Hospital as a radiographer to as Sales advisor at Home Deco department in fast fashion. I not all in formal but I do want to still look elegant. Not really into make up or ironically, fashion, BUT being woman at my age. I know this is a must as I am working with people half my age. After watching this, I glad half my my current clothes is suitable for someone my age, BUT sadly half of it is no go. But I will not just donate them away. Most detailed descriptions of items, with fabrics, lengths, fits outlined beautifully. Fabulous fabrics and knits. One tip: Check the sizes carefully. If it's a shirt or a blouse that is not close fitting, you might want to size down so it's not too billowy. But, if the descriptions say, if you're between sizes, size up, do it. As for dresses being too long, I hear you. I'm 5'2" and just about every dress I get must be shortened. (I don't do mini.) I find that an inch or two makes a HUGE difference between frumpy and flattering. Thanks again!

You're right about the Tweed dress being too short. But, I actually like the sleeves a lot. They do exactly what the 80's shoulder pads did; give the illusion of narrower hips, BUT far more feminine.👍♥️🇨🇦

Always love to see a new Anna upload! Beautiful pieces - a little expensive, but if you want to elevate your style you sometimes need to invest in higher quality pieces and thus pay the price for it. But if you invest in quality you get more out of each garment so it pays for itself in terms of its longevity in your wardrobe. The problem with mini dresses is they can look skimpy, so the purple balloon sleeves pushed up give it a touch of generosity, like a mini flamenco gown without a tail .

I loved the cardigan’s as well as the red dress being petite myself it would have to be hemmed a bit, it is beautiful. Also Teddy is looking fabulous with that flowing shiny coat ❤
Actually Lady Diana has been wearing puff sleaves all the time, because she didn't have nearly 0 waistline. She was very straight and the aim was to "make" hourglass figure. She weared puff sleaves and A-line skirts and tadam: she got a great hourglass figure and an optical illusion of a tiny waist. If you see yourself in the lilac dress you will realise: you don't look wider, you look like having an extremly tiny waist with these sleeves and the A-line skirt. Actually I also went to gym to have a bit wider shoulder and hip, to emphasize my hourglass figure. It's the same trick with the dresses just takes more time. 😂

It's pretty difficult to find nice tops and blouses these days. So many of them have cutouts, or they're cropped. They're just not my thing, even for casual wear
@Jasmine Jasmine Right? You see something that looks nice, and then it's cropped. I mean, some look lovely, and I have nothing against wearing them if it's personal preference or really hot and the situation allows, but they're everywhere in stores. I've even seen some in the 'workwear' sections

Always love to see a new Anna upload! Beautiful pieces - a little expensive, but if you want to elevate your style you sometimes need to invest in higher quality pieces and thus pay the price for it. But if you invest in quality you get more out of each garment so it pays for itself in terms of its longevity in your wardrobe. This is also a tip I learned from Anna - invest more into quality for the long term pay-off. Thank you Anna!

You look like a Barbie doll in that little tweed dress! I love the vintage style puffy shoulders with the short sleeves. I think that you’re never too old to wear a shorter dress 😊 My mom is in her 60’s with beautiful, toned legs (think Tina Turner), and she can pull off classy styles, even if it’s on the shorter side ❤
The problem with mini dresses is they can look skimpy, so the purple balloon sleeves pushed up give it a touch of generosity, like a mini flamenco gown without a tail .

I loved the cardigan’s as well as the red dress being petite myself it would have to be hemmed a bit, it is beautiful. Also Teddy is looking fabulous with that flowing shiny coat ❤

Actually Lady Diana has been wearing puff sleaves all the time, because she didn't have nearly 0 waistline. She was very straight and the aim was to "make" hourglass figure. She weared puff sleaves and A-line skirts and tadam: she got a great hourglass figure and an optical illusion of a tiny waist.
If you see yourself in the lilac dress you will realise: you don't look wider, you look like having an extremly tiny waist with these sleeves and the A-line skirt.
Actually I also went to gym to have a bit wider shoulder and hip, to emphasize my hourglass figure.
It's the same trick with the dresses just takes more time. 😂

It's pretty difficult to find nice tops and blouses these days. So many of them have cutouts, or they're cropped. They're just not my thing, even for casual wear
Literally everything is crop😢 I’m trying so hard to stop wearing crop tops but it’s literally all shirts made these days!!

I mean, some look lovely, and I have nothing against wearing them if it's personal preference or really hot and the situation allows, but they're everywhere in stores. I've even seen some in the 'workwear' sections
