The video is quite special because we are not covering any normal route, this time. A group of Busfans planned a Special Run, bidding farewell to one of the last remaining Diesel Powered Non AC Double Decker Bus in Mumbai. This teaser is just a glimpse of the Special Run as there is a lot more to see in the full video. I consider myself fortunate to be a part of this beautiful day.
Here is a background on the recent development in Mumbai's Bus Service. The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST) is slowly discarding its Bus Fleet older than 15 years, abiding by the rules set under the Vehicle Scrappage Policy. In the past three years, more than 1500 Buses have been scrapped & the procurement of a fleet to replace them is still underway. The Undertaking aims to electrify its entire fleet by the year 2027. The Diesel & CNG Buses scrapped will be replaced with 2100 Olectra X2 - Electric Single Deck AC Buses while the Double Deckers would be Replaced by 200 Switch EiV22 - India's first Electric AC Double Decker Bus.

Dharavi & Kalakilla depot are same no? And Ig they write on their buses as Kalakilla & not Dharavi! Eg. 46 route

They are located on the same plot but both Depots have their own space. The admin building is same but premises is split since Kalakilla has Electric Bus Chargers for Olectra
