Thank you so much for the video!I have one question. does DNA polymerase also have similar protein as Trigger loop, which allows one nt at a time? as far as I know, trigger loop allows nt one by one for more accurate polymerization. So I am wondering if DNA polymerase has similar functing protein. Again, thank you for your video!!

Excellent question! Yes, there is a structure in the DNA polymerase "palm domain" that functions *similar* to the trigger loop which generates a tight pocket when the correct dNTP base pairs with the template.

Wow. Thanks for such a great video. I'm trying to understand the replication process in a pedantic way. Would you please tell me which text book has provided an in-depth discussion about DNA replication.

Depends on what level you want to study the process - for undergraduate studies something like Watson's Molecular Biology of Gene or Lewin's Gene would be fine. For anything higher, I recommend reading the published literature.

Depending on what level you want to study, there are different textbooks you can refer. For university level, I think Lewin Genes + Molecular Biology of the Cell, are fine... they don't have in-depth discussions but I think if you are looking for textbooks to study for exams or something similar, they are alright.
