This was my first foray into ST Gibson’s work, and I am also obsessed with my copy of the book 😆 these publishers are giving the special edition book subscriptions a run for their money! I was hoping for more plot too, but the characters were dynamic enough for me to stay intrigued throughout the entire book. I gave this one 3.5⭐️ because I really wanted more plot, but maybe we will get more occult-y stuff in the next book(s). I’m going to the author’s book sighning later this month and dragging two friends along. One of them doesn’t even like fantasy but she’s part of the LGBTQ+ community and both authors are as well, and their books have main character representation, so I sold her on that. Maybe the book discussions there will get her to read them 😆
They totally are. More and more “regular books” are having sprayed edges and additional things added to them (I am loving it). I agree it could have had a lot more plot. You will love the book signing, I did an online event with her and she’s amazing, so kind. Have such a great time with your friends!!!
