    1. France has the lowest inflation in Europe.
    2. Oil companies are private.
Salary negociations are out of scope of French government.
    3. Aid for Ukraine is constantly provided.
    4. Usage of French nuclear weapons is defined in the law.

The statement from Pdt Macro during an interview on how to use or not use our nuclear capabilities was a strategic and military mistake that weakened our deterrence power...
Also regarding the increased cost of living and the war in Ukraine: there is almost no correlation. The poll suggesting that the sanctions against Russia don't work and in fact increase the cost of living (esp. energy) is mainly due to uneducated French people who don't know how energy power is generated in France (gas represents 8% of energy power generated in FR, btw). The real reason for energy price surge is due to multiple factors: how the energy price is computed on the local market (not based on offer/demand), the issues on nuclear power plants (corrosion, long regular maintenance window), poor green energy transition strategy, etc.
The rest of the explanation is very good, thumbs up.

Putin will prove a better economist and politician than general. The battlefield has been an embarrassment and the assault on civilians and infrastructure requires stronger adjectives. But as this war continues, NATO and EU will crack and the petrodollar / world reserve currency status of the US$ will also weaken. The BRICS will emerge bolstered by the shift of Saudi Arabia and OPEC+ away from the West toward Eurasia.
Kinetic war kills and destroys. Energy and inflation change alliances, wreck economies and political establishments. Putin has unleashed war and the dependency about which Trump confronted and warned Merkel of is now apparent. But Merkel somehow can look past the invasion as recently as last week and call Russia the only answer. Trump consigned himself to dustbin on 1/6 and since. But he was right about a number of things and the liberal establishment hated him accordingly.
The questions this piece pose go to the European mindset of the Merkel generation. Putin understood this from the outset and is succeeding in breaking the Eurozone. Merkel was easily duped, a product of far left statism herself.
After this is over, years from now, the destruction of Ukraine will be secondary to the economic and political destruction of the Eurozone. Merkel will still be preaching obsequious reliance on Russia and her followers will still be following.
Gorby said buffer zone. NATO said no. Putin and Merkel took it from there. When you do the postmortem on Europe, begin in '46. NATO did achieve the longest period of stability in the history of Europe. But Gorbachev was betrayed and the outcome of the Merkel and Putin venture was a foregone conclusion though it took awhile and enjoyed a productive interim.
NATO should have responded on February 24, 2022. They didn't and that was the day Europe and the UK were lost. Or one could argue Blinken could have brought a longer view of the history. Well it's academic at this point. The neocons got what they wanted but the outcome won't be what they wanted. They were neither generals, politicians nor economists.

Very approximative informations about France...Those who are in the street or on strike earn twice or more than the minimum.
Strikes aren't about inflation or something else, syndicats only use the crisis with gas to obtain sympathy of the labors.
CGT (huge syndicat) often create trouble to justify its existence and doesn't Care about casualties for the citizens.
The attitud of this syndicat is disrespectful for Ukrain, by using gas crisis, when ukrainians suffer of everything (life in danger, lack of energy, cities in ruins, no Windows or Doors to prevent winter,...)
I'm french, i earn less than those who strike (no need to earn more), ans i stand for ukrainians.
