The first was shown from late 1974 to mid-1975, and the second series (including the episode featured here) was shown from January to August 1977. Dorothy (played by Sylvia Kay) was the landlady in the first series, but she was no longer around in series 2.
Classic pattern: Girl plays hard to get. Bloke persists. Girl falls for him and then clings. Bloke goes distant then runs a mile.
A couple of Grange Hill alumni: Cheryl Branker who played Miss Peterson, and Jenny Twigge who was Mrs. Maguire, Zammo's mum.
