My concern is the formation.
If he inherited this exact squad, what would his 11 be given he plays 3-4-3. There are a few players I look at in our squad who I don't see fitting into that formation. One clear concern for me is; how you fit both Bowen and Kudus in that formation. Sure the wingers need to be inverted. Also, who are your wing backs. You would expect Emerson to do well as a LWB as opposed to a LB but the right side is less obvious. Recruitment looks like a hard task already, and I think buying for a new system makes it even more difficult. Also, there is more emphasis on CBs in a three-at-the-back formation due to playing three rather than 2 in the starting 11 and we look stretched already in that area.
Would have thought someone whose bread and butter was centered around 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 (basically the same formation) would be an easier transition given the current group of players we have.

Been watching the Portuguese news this evening.... Amorim is all over the TV channels being in "London". I have caled it that Amorim will not leave Sporting, I still believe that. I don´t think he is ready for the Prem, really. Portuguese football is so different to the Prem. If he came in, with guidance from a Director of Football, maybe, but, if he is to come to the Prem then West Ham would be a better choice than Liverpool. Trouble is, I can see he would choose Liverpool over us!
