Any man that was willing to put his life on the line from my family and for my freedom and the United States Constitution needs respect and should be held high for being willing to risk their lives.
Michael, I don’t know if you remember me, but I am your dad’s cousin, Debra. I lived, for a brief while, with y’all when I first got out of the Corps. You were cute and fun and funny. It breaks my heart that you are suffering through this. I want to say so many things, but I will settle for saying that you did not let anyone down. The fact that you recognized that you needed help and you sought it shows that you care for your family and friends. I’m sorry and mortified that the help you received was so horrible. The only shame in this lies solely on the professionals that you should have been able to trust. They did not have your best interests in “helping” you. I pray that you are able to kick your demons to the ground. They should not have travelled home with you. But they did and as an honorable and brave veteran you deserve the best help there is. You are a true example of one veteran speaking out for all veterans and that is very admirable. Good luck to you, my young cousin. Semper Fi!
@debraspronz3193 I do remember you and I thank you for your kind words. One of the things I learned is if I express out loud what is going on with me I can take the next step to my healing.
I am your Dad's Aunt Judy Bishop. I will be praying 🙏 for you and all veterans 🙏. God Bless you 🙏 and your family. Thank you for serving and thank you Debra for serving. Love Aunt Judy Bishop ❤️
This is so important Mike. This is infuriating. Our veterans deserve so much better and you certainly deserved better that day. There needs to be better thought, care, and training in the way these matters are handled. This is what this country needs, right now. My thought and prayers are with you and your family brother. On behalf of those in my family who struggle, I thank you for putting yourself out there. The #2for22 is so important. Love you brother 💙
Thank you for taking the time to watch this. I know i have a community that cares and supports. But I feel we need more training on how to handle our veterans with PTSD.
Thank you for being brave enough to put this out there. It's something not many people will do. My family has seen and felt this first hand. You are a real hero and I'm happy your getting help. Much love and strength to you and your family through your time of need.
Of course more people need to know the short Cummings this country has with the way we support our veterans. It's awful and needs reformed sooner than later.
Hammie I just want to thank you for your service sir. You put your life on the line for your country and you have my utmost respect. You honor me sir with your service that alone makes you an amazing man and a man that needs to be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy and compassion
I hate to hear how you were handled in this situation. I agree that there needs to be a better policy in place specifically for these instances. I fully support your decision and applaud you for seeking the assistance you require. It shows how much you truly care for those around you, and ultimately yourself. Love you, Hammie. Anything I can do…👊💙 #2for22
Often the hardest part, especially for men, is to share feelings. Thank you for sharing your story and May God bless you on your continued journey to get you to the place you need to be.
Very admirable of you to share this story, Hammie. This really touched and moved me. I am sorry that our justice system has failed you and did not give you the decency to respect your requests. I hope the thoughts that are dwelling in your mind that every ounce inside of you finds the strength to overcome them. I see the joy when you record with your son. I saw the joy and smile when you introduced us to your wife. You being present to your family is your duty and that is where I see you excelling and enjoying the most. Your community work and even coaching of the kids is recognized. You have impacted and even saved lives. Hammie - I am not experienced or qualified therapist, but man, if you ever need someone just to talk, I am here. The same love you showed when my mom passed away, just know it is a two-way street, my line is always open. Keep your head up high, Hammie.
@PackAddictRips Thanks! Your words are truly appreciated. I look at my accomplishment, and I'm happy to say that I truly belong. But often times, the terror of the trauma related to the war in Iraq proved to be so overwhelming that it takes control. Something I need to get help with.
I hated hearing how you were treated that day, and it is an incredibly important message to convey to Police departments across the country. I’m praying for you Brother. There is no worse feeling than that of letting your family down. I know I’m on the other side of the country, but I know your Love for your family is beyond what words can describe. I pray you’ll find some healing during your time in residential treatment, and you know how much I believe in EMDR and group therapy. You got this my friend!
I never served, but both my grandfathers did. What you and so many other members of our armed forces had to go through in your service years and civilian life is greatly appreciated by my family and many others. Much love and respect from California. Thank you for giving your time and your life to our country. God bless!
Thank you for serving our country and thank you for sharing your story. This is incredibly brave and incredibly important. Im glad to hear you are seeking treatment. Keep fighting the good fight brother.
Hammie, thank you for sharing, I can’t even imagine how difficult that was. I’m so sorry to hear about your experience. My wife is a therapist and I have my Masters in Social Work, so listening to how you were treated was gut wrenching. I’m glad to hear you had a plan, followed the plan and how you are moving forward in a way you know is best for you, however difficult it will also be. It’s amazing to see a small movement that you started and I know it will continue to grow, especially as others hear your story and connect. Praying for you!!
Thank you for watching and hearing me. Thank you also for your service of our people and to your wife as well. If possible please share this with as many as possible.
Very happy to do so sir! Thanks for your service and all your brothers that served. Be strong brother may your family and friends give you all the strength you need to find peace with everything. Your a great man and your family needs you always. Love you bro stay strong.

I find it concerning that no one treated your BP situation. Those are critical readings. I hope your in-house care gives you the results that are needed. Thanks for sharing your experience. Hopefully, it can help others. 🙏 Take good care of yourself!

He lost his unborn child and girlfriend at the time. From a drunk driver. And his wife cheated on him and he took it personally. He left his 3 boys behind. He was only 40. I had to watch my grandpa have mental issues until he passed. He was also a veteran. Lost a lot of friends from mental health and PTSD. My sister is a navy veteran who I see struggle too. I want you to know that this video was great for you and us who care for you. I hope nothing but the best in the next chapter in your life. I’m here as a friend and supporting you.
