No, the belly is clipped with 10 or 15 blade ( 1- 1.5mm) the top part of inner thigh muscle is clipped ( that's closer to the belly) and the rest is stripped

There could be a few reasons: 1/ coat is nor suitable for stripping 2/ dog won't tolerate stripping 3/ dog has a reaction to hand stripping - usually dogs with environmental allergies can get red lumpy skin even after gentles stripping; in that case I wouldn't proceed with stripping 4/ or they don't know how to do it

Sometimes it is easier to hand strip before bathing; however, if you are concerned about skin irritation it's better to bathe before stripping.

What are tools?
I see your movement, but are you using your thumb also to pull the hair, or is the knife doing all of the work?
why is it that most groomers will use clippers than hand strip. do clippers change the appearance of the hair.
