  • FOX 13 Meteorologist Dave Osterberg says the 2024 hurricane season is expected to have 17-25 named storms as we transition to La Nina, which is going to hold down the wind shear in the tropical Atlantic. Plus, the sea surface temperatures are far above normal, so when something does develop it will be working with a lot of moisture and energy. June is typically a pretty quiet month and averages a named storm every couple of years. According to Osterberg, there is no tropical development expected over the next seven days.

This is scary…. 2024 is a crazy year for weather.. 911 earthquakes in 24 hours in California, 200+ earthquakes plus volcanic eruptions in Hawaii, and hundreds of tornadoes all over the western part of North America since April ALONE

It may be too soon to call it a new normal, but it's definitely a trend. I live in upstate NY and I cannot tell you the last time we had a 2ft snow storm. We just don't get snow anymore. And it will get worse.

Here’s an idea, the government stops playing with weather modification, and letting nature be nature. I think that might be a good idea.

What weather modification? You mean Greenhouse Gases?

@@alg5534 they’ve been modifying weather since Wyatt Earp was a teenager. All sorts of things, Weaponized weather radar, HAARP , particulate being sprayed into the atmosphere to put sunglasses on the earth that has a fever. It’s been going on for a long, long time. They’re just getting better at it.
