There definitely needs to be some tweaking with some of the modifiers. Stuff like Dodgeball and boomerang can completely end your run single-handedly, while stuff like rubber duck basically does nothing.
It's already optional actually, there's a new customisation tab you can use to toggle back to the old art :) I think it lets you choose for each individual pets too!
I actually like the art a lot. It looks weird because we're so used to the emojis, but having its own unique art makes it more uniform with the other packs and gives it its own identity.
@@nootnootscoot7041 I don’t think I would like it more than the old one even with using it for a bit and getting used to it. I think the current art just looks so much better, specially with the type of game that SAP is. Personal preference though, which is why I’m glad that it is optional
I feel like hard mode should have modifiers that scale with your tear, like as a starting one you get the rubber duck and then it progressively gets more and more challenging
They do have a few that work a little like that (some scale with turn number / shop tier, I think others get added / removed from the pool at certain points), but I agree that it'd probably be balanced better if there were harder boundaries! For example, getting the same modifier 3 times in a row probably wasn't what they were intending lmao

I can bearly win in standard XD But maybe my enemies will also not know how to play and I'll have better chance to win. Also reading from previous comments, it would be so cool to pick and choose which art style you want for each pet :0
This is very cool! Looking forward to it being implemented. I think the art is weirdly perfect unlike many others I'm sure. Something about it is much more cohesive than the original art is.
SAP is already in hard mode idk what your talking about lol I lost 10 games in a row In ONE game, all the opponents i faced (i kid you not) were summoning builds which happened to be my weakness since I was running a 4 squad with 1 super big pet (lvl 3 pig for achievement)
It's just to make it harder really, you'd probably still have similar odds of winning if everyone had the debuffs I do think making a full "roguelike" mode could be really interesting though!
So, I was "anonymous-xxxxx" originally because I was playing as a guest & not logging in. Are you seeing an actual bot problem in the game otherwise, vs people new to the game or outside who don't want to provide their email or OAuth credentials to the developer?
I meant teams called "Ghost", Team Wood use them with auto generated squads if there aren't enough player builds in the pool They vary a lot since they're completely randomized (positioning, levels, etc.) and if they show up early then they can be unreasonably strong (but get a lot nicer in the late game since they have default stats haha)
These were real, the bot teams have the name "Ghost" and have randomly generated squads Had a couple of my first runs die since I went against unreasonably strong early ghost teams one too many times though lmao
I like most of the new artwork, but some pets like badger and hippo look as though they are missing a vertebrae (I actually think the hippo looks alright, but I don’t understand why the badger doesn’t have a neck)

It really does seem to vary pet-to-pet. Ant has WAY too big eyes, and the smile on the fish is just strange. But lots are fine.
