Because 'people are afraid of what they don't understand' like what was said in the movie. Zack's take on this Superman was different, (very much needed too) that what had been portrayed prior and something new is more likely than not difficult to accept due to a conditioning.
@@Andre-hm5vo No. It's just there are a lot of problems with the film. Henry did his job right but the story does not work.
People just don't understand that an origin story means it's an extremely early part in the characters time as a superhero. And that being such an early point in their career, they're gonna be inexperienced. I never understood why people were so mad at a Superman who was supposed to be new and inexperienced actually BEING inexperienced.
@@spongeboymebob771 Don't think that was the problem. It was just not a well told story. I even head a person say it was an okay film but a bad adaptation which I sort of understand.
@daviddarko5837 Eh. Agree to disagree. Story was pretty straightforward. Superman tries to fit in but has to embrace his alien heritage to stop his own people invading and destroying Earth. It was there. Maybe not Godfather levels of masterclass storytelling, but I'm not a pro filmmaker or author so I can't really comment on that. It existed and wasnt blatantly terrible, so that was good enough for me.
I will say though that the majority of people I've heard complain about the movie mostly hated Superman not being a perfect, experienced Superman when that was the point.

Man of Steel 2 should have happened after this movie instead the share universe nonsense, greed is what ruin it, not everything needs to share universe. I would have been happy with just a superman movie and every other DC heroes have their own movie and not do a team up. The qualities of those movies would have been far superior.
Marvel did it and the universe is successful it's the bad writing that ruined DC movies

@@NoureddineFaraji-nh3vm Marvel did it slowly over time. There's no amount of good writing on this planet that could have organically created a justice league "assemble" movie right after only 1 superman movie and 1 wonder woman movie. You needed most, if not all of the members in more movies on their own to make the team up feel deserved and epic. Just like anyone who tries to rewrite a novel as 2 paragraphs, anyone would have found it impossible to write.
Although Christopher Reeve will always be the true and greatest superman, Henry Cavell is certainly a very very close 2nd, he done amazing well, he embodied and portrayed the greatness of who superman is and what he stands for.
i lovr the 'sonic boom' whenever Superman flying, it showing to audience that he increase his speed instantly that he broke sound barrier ~

I think Brandon's Superman was just as good, him and Lois could've been more expressive and had more dialogue, but the plane rescue scene??? Perfect-o! Followed by the Gatling gun on the roof scene!
I like to think that this movie is proof that a proper Dragonball live action movie is possible!

I know it's fun watching these people's reaction to these movie scenes but unfortunately no doubt this isn't even the first time they're seeing this; there's no way they haven't seen the movie when it came at the cinema. Here they look like watching from some sort of media (digital release) which is supposed to be released months after theatrical.
