Thank you Ark invest for making pretty ethical reports on these subjects in contrast to those who produce false expectations in advertising promises that aren't fulfilled.

Writing from France, my take is our prices are so low because of regulations.

for a drug that is very expensive, could we/should we use a progressing scale of payment based on a percentage of earnings? Is that workable somehow?

The one argument that kills the logic of "we do lots of research and make blockbuster drugs hence the expensive drugs", is that US has the worst health outcome amongst advanced countries. Why spend so much when you get the worst result? If one says there are other factors then fancy drug development is not the answer, work on those other factors.

Just because the trials happen in the USA it doesn't mean it would be more expensive to sell the medicine in the USA. You're saying that these companies are losing money selling the medicine outside the USA.

Please run that fab math by me again, there are about 160 300mm fab worldwide today, $7T would build 700 new fabs at $10B per fab, how many AI chips are required?

So, we are just repeating the drug ceo answer of "because complicated?"

R&D of drugs are artificially high, due to huge inefficiencies in drug development . AI will change all that, to make better drugs, cheaper at mass scale. AI has already 3D modelled every known protein, now just a matter to combine them into a successful drug molecule. Easy right ? 🤓

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains.
