Thanks for this Vida. Was a great refresher. I have good luck with opening the holder, removing the pen point, turning it over and reinserting it back into the holder. Some say this bends the tip but I've never had that happen. I love pen work and sometimes have skipping. So I appreciate your tips.

Yes, I would fire the line work first unless you are using water-based drying pen medium. That you would pen, let dry then wash color over in one fire.

I use Hunts 102 or 107 pen points.
