Oh no way! Glad I could help! Ya, I still love and drive mine to this day, I was a tad honest, but the handling in this car is amazing, and the creature comforts.
I have a 2013 dart with 467,000 kms, replaced brakes, rear wheel bearings,2 heater motors and a battery, that is my major changes for repairs,it is inspected for 2 more years here in nova scotia,it's been a reliable car for us and wouldn't hesitate to head for B.C. tomorrow with it! Even with that many kms on the car!🏁
That's amazing to hear! I'm glad it's taken you this far in life! I just reached 100k on the car! But still only 20-30k on the motor! As it was replaced! Ya! Very reliable! It's only once stranded me but that was the fuel pump! But ya, after replacing it. I am very confident in this car, it's been with me for years and I still love it! Will keep it until I get an electric car! But still driving it today!
That's awesome! Ya, I love this car, driving and all, and still use it as my daily. But just note the repairs! If you can find it for a good price and with a warranty, it's awesome to have! Check out my Subaru review as well! Also a very fun car :) and more reliable!
I bought a used 2015 Dart SXT Ralleye in 2016 with 11,000 miles on it. I don’t drive a ton so it only has about 51,000 now, but the only issues I have had were the parking break failing. It’s really treated me well.
Sad to hear about the engine but I’m so happy u still drive and love this car. And didn’t bash it. I love these I have a 2015 Chrysler 200 with This platform running at 173,000 miles.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it, ya, this was my first car review. It was actually much shorter, but decided it deserved a bit more of an in-depth review. Thanks for watching!
That's awesome! Glad you're still driving it! I'm driving mine most days! I used to put my change in the left bottle holder spot, but now I put it in the little spot left of the front storage! It kept raddling around the cup holder hahaha but then again, change goes everywhere if I have to use the brakes hard 🤣 you never really win hahaha
Oh, quite a few repairs, I think I list some in the video, but the engine went, fuel pump ect. Still love the car and drive it everyday though, still have warranty on it :)
Yep, at about 70k KM which was unfortunate, but I still had the warranty on it! It would've costed me about $20k to do an engine swap in the dealership. So I'm glad I had it, but the engine oil was to blame. I think I have a newer engine now, and I still drive it to this day! Still have warranty for a little bit
@@TechAfterDark $20K for a motor swap in a car worth less than 15k? Dude, that motor can be found used for under 2k. Did that price not strike you as extremely fishy? I would have straight up laughed in their faces and told them to go flip burgers if they seriously believe it would cost 20k to replace that motor.
It was burning oil! Seemed like every couple months I was running out, right before an oil change, I was going around corners, and the oil light would come on briefly. I always carried around oil at that point cause I was running out. And they were testing the bore of the cylinders and saw damage to them apparently. Took about a year to get Chrysler to cover the engine for free! Drove 400km and kept on showing oil being burned. And leaking. They put this special luminescent dye to see where it was leaking and such. Glad they replaced it! Never really stranded from the engine, but I might've gotten a lemon engine. I still drive it to this day! I still really like it :)
Oh! I started receiving mail from chrysler about this issue last year, I’m SO happy they didn’t charge you for the engine. It’s a recall in the states, I think related to some computer issue that started burning up oil for reasons that are beyond me. I found your review today after my oil change, just wanted to see what people were thinking about this car that’s been kind to me but seems to get hated on a lot.
Yes, unfortunately, Chrysler might be under a big lawsuit soon with the 2.4 L TigerShark engine burning too much oil and dead engines. Mine was ok, but the inside was scored, so they fixed my engine under warranty, had to do a lot of tests to get the new engine though. It might've been upwards of 15k including the rental they paid for me while it was in the shop!
I'm going to look at one of these tomorrow and this is by far the best and most comprehensive review out there!
Thank you so much! I still drive it and really like it! Good luck :)
Looking at one today! Glad to see you had a recent review!

Amazing review! I’m really thinking about getting a Dodge Dart rallye as my first ever car, so this helped

That's awesome! We have pretty similar cars underneath the body work. I still love it and drive it every day! they are amazing to drive.
The 1st one ☝️ to give a like!!!! 👍
Hmmmm i’m either going on with this car or a legacy Subaru 2015 2013 still thinking which car to go with as my first car
Late watch but great comprehensive review! The effort shows, keep it up!

Informative!
These things are speedy! Great video. Thanks!
I've owned a dart since 2014, since then, I've been putting the change in the door handle like a PEASANT. 😅😅 Great job👍

Looking at buying one of these, thanks for posting!
No worries! Ya, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! If you can, possibly get some warranty just in case, but you'll love driving it! Great car.
@@TechAfterDark hey mate! Bought it 2 days ago with 2 years warranty @ $50 a month. So far, I love driving this thing!
I love my car lol, 274k and 8 years still happy

My 2014 Dodge Dart SXT is the best car that I have ever owned from FCA which is now know as Stellantis!
Yes me too! Amazing car, still great, I really enjoy it! I've never named mine, but sometimes I call it Ol' reliable haha
@@TechAfterDark I really enjoyed your video regarding your Dart! I like the quality ride and the build of the Dart! Take care. Thanks...
Thank you so much! Take care as well! :)
About how much have you put in to your car in repairs after buying
Oh, quite a few repairs, I think I list some in the video, but the engine went, fuel pump ect. Still love the car and drive it everyday though, still have warranty on it :)
Did you say you replaced the engine already in this car?

What exactly happened to your engine?
