The first segment is a classic, but starting in the second ep those little hats and hair tufts took it to another level. Truly one of those ILC segments you looked forward to each week and were disappointed when they didn’t do one
These two together were comic gold! While showing a stereotype, they did so with such skill you can't help but laugh and enjoy. Sad part this level of comedic genius could not aired on TV today. What's interesting is how they are truly an audience favorite and how they drew from gay men they had actually known and hung around to create the characters.
we still understand that. it's nearly impossible to offend a gay man. we are viscous and thick skinned and would just look at you with disdains if you try. you should see how we treat other. lol. i have ptsd from 6 decades in SF
I'm a proud black gay man and am not offended at all this is HILARIOUS....all of us aren't that flamboyant but for the ones who are they absolutely NAILED IT!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Starting my senior year of high school "In Living Color" was the best sketch comedy show ever, beating the Carrol Burnett show because it was so ahead of it's time. SNL, MadTV, Kid In The Hall and Monty Python don't even compare. The "Men On...." series was, and still is, the most hilarious of them all. Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier knocked these skits out of the park every time. They gave us "2 snaps up!" and "3 snaps in Z formation!"
My friend Andrea ( RIP ) used to do the “ HATED IT” to a tee, lol. I was never into living colour but I now see it was really funny . Andrea was right!
@@Kaydubb only because of social media. When ppl turned their backs on something prior to the Internet they relied on word of mouth and AT&T. And plenty got cancelled. You just might not have heard about it.
@@timmothycopeland4866 I'm an 80's baby and watched in Living Color faithfully. Let's not forget the show was on Fox...not the woke networks like NBC, CBS, or ABC. Howard Stern & Rush Limbaugh were around during this era as well...and they survived. This era is way too sensitive compared to the late 80's and early 90's
Have to give them huge credit for being game to hop into these roles as a recurring skit. 90s culture would’ve had them being called all kinds of “punks” and “sissies” and “they play that role way too well” type of foolery from people who can’t discern comedy talent. But the thing is, the ridiculous stereotypes are so outlandish and how they exaggerate them are genuinely hilarious. Much like all of In Living Color’s writing.
So you basically miss the times where you could mistreat people just because you don’t “agree” with THEIR life? Got it😂. Nobody is saying you have to agree but respect is due to a dog.
Respect is earned not "due" and I surely will not "respect" someone's sexual perversion. What you like or desire sexually should really be a private personal issue. This skit was of course making fun of the ridiculous stereotype of gay people. But so many in the gay community now actual act this way. They are a parody of their own stereotypes. If your gay or straight I don't care, I think people should be more candid about that part of their life.
a n d u not only have to attempt to remember chosen "pronouns," but which ge nd er they pick cause errr uhhh that is a "choice. " It's not scientific & assigned at birth anymore.
The way these two absolutely tried to make each other crack 😂😂😂😂
The best part is they can laugh in-character and not ruin the skits.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Man couldn't wait till IN living Color came on...Them was the good ol days...3 snaps and a rewind😂😂😂😂
these two had great chemistry
yeah and after 4 years of her passing every bill that helped cripple this country your ready to gear up for 4 more years of it being worse.
All these years later, I still find this to be utterly hilarious. 😂😂
Same. It is even funnier after a hard day or week. 🖤
As a Gay LATINO man of 71, I loved their segment. I could not stop laughing!
As Harvey F. said "Exposure at any cost."
that’s good because I wouldve thought you… HATED IT :D

Loved each and every skit of ILC
I don’t think anyone is offended honey.
This was major cutting edge in 1991. The whole cast changed comedy for the better.

it's their chemistry that sells it
I love the way David Alan Grier says "strength" in these clips 🤣

Sorry I had to add this. Their ability to improv when they made each other start laughing is unchallenged.....
Damn, I loved this show, these guys were incredible 😂❤
This was THE best program on TV. I laughed every time. We need humor like this back.
When people could take a good joke and laugh at each other without getting pissed off
Amen
There is no chair strong enough to contrain me from falling watching these two outrageously creative dudes. Fab-you-lus!
OMG, truly the best!! A CLASSIC All my black gay friends did the snap decades before they popularized it honteychild.
I love men on film!!!!! I remember growing up late 80's early 90's watching on Sundays!!!!! When FOX was the best!!!!!!😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Absolutely brilliant these two
The audience screaming has me rolling over here.
I would love to know who designed their clothes!
please bring this back
I love so much!!! Gone are the days when comedy was comedic.

Maaaan Blane getting knocked straight was the funniest thing EVER 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I don't know what u talkin bout stereotype. This is how my friends and I acted in our apartments
They were so funny, I loved them ❤️
In Living Color was hilarious 😂
The days of Thunder Tom Cruise “hated it” took me out 💀💀💀🔥🔥🔥
I love when then talk about, Moby Dick. I almost ended up in the hospital 🏥 for oxygen. It was so damn funny 😂😂😂😂
“2 snaps up in a circle.”
Siskel and Ebert were brilliant that's what makes this all the more funnier
I REALLY MISS THIS SHOW IT

The good ole days when I would wait up to watch this
The reads are killing me, I loved this show.
Always loved watching these comedic actors.
Love In Living Color
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Lol
In Living Color was so great! So sad FOX limited them and Keenan Ivory Wayans.
I watched these two I was coming outta the closet and it made it very clear what kinda gay I would be ;)
Three words:

BET should bring them back!!!
Boy I really miss the 90s
can you imagine being in the writer's room when they were putting these together?
I absolutely love❤❤❤
They are great😂
Around the world and two snaps back 💃
“Cross my heart and hope to look like Whoopi Goldberg on my next life”😂😂😂😂
This TV show should be released on Blu ray!😀
The funny part about the men on television sketch. Is that they hated Golden Girls and Designing Women. Which gays loved
You'd know.
@@takafumiarisawa70 yes I would with my gay proud self
Betcha couldn't do a sketch like this today. They're so wound up too tight.

Way ahead of TV comedy.⭐️👍⭐️⭐️
Can you believe that David replaced Keenan due to heavy responsibilities on the show? Imagine if he did it.
This show was hilarious!!!
Damon Was too much into that character 😂
I miss this show.....
A time when society wasn't triggered or offended. The good old days. Glad I was a part of it.
Thank god we have this, never would have been allowed today.😢
They would cancel this show today
you must not remember the 90s very well; it's amazing it wasn't cancelled then
