Summary:
Are you struggling to draw regularly? You might be focusing too much on the outcome rather than the process-putting pressure on yourself to create something “good” or “worthwhile.” But what if I told you there’s a simple way to take that pressure off and make creativity flow naturally?
In this video, I’ll share one easy daily habit that helps you draw consistently without stress. No perfectionism, no fear of the blank page-just a playful, no-pressure way to reconnect with creativity.
✨ Try this 7-day experiment: Draw on a small scrap of paper every day, assuming you’ll throw it away afterward. No expectations, no judgment-just pure process.
Why does this work? Because creativity thrives in freedom, not pressure. Even professional artists don’t create daily, but they stay engaged through observation and reflection. Short challenges like this can shift your relationship with creativity and help you enjoy the process again.

Thank you so much for a lovely video! I struggle with this exact thing, focusing on how to start/what I want to create at the end. I’ve let it hold me back from creating art for some time now. I’m so nervous to start again lol, thinking I’m too “rusty” & letting the possibility of that hold me back.
I totally get where you’re coming from-it’s so easy to get caught up in the ‘end result’ mindset. But the beauty of art is that it’s all about the process, not perfection. Starting again might feel scary, but even ‘rusty’ moments are part of rediscovering your creative flow. Just take it one small step at a time, and don’t be afraid to make ‘messy’ or imperfect work-it often leads to the most honest and exciting discoveries!
And remember, you’ve already shown courage by acknowledging what’s holding you back-that’s a huge step. Your creativity is still there, waiting for you. I believe in you, and I’m excited for what you’ll create when you let yourself just play and explore again! 😍
@@patricialambertus_artist thank you so much!! Such a sweet message🥹✨🩷I will start again, I know it’s there waiting for me which also is frustrating to be aware of lol!! It wants me to create so badly😂I’ve moved my art work to face makeup for now, but I’m excited to draw & paint more again. Being a perfectionist helps in some ways but definitely can be a blocker! I’ll keep all this in mind, thank you again!🥰🫶🏻
@@alexabernhardt2856 You’re so welcome! 🩷✨ Here’s just an idea that came to mind: you’re already creating artistically with makeup! You’re working with colors, shading, and shapes, and your canvas is the human face. Sure, it’s a bit more client-focused, but maybe you could explore merging the two? Like creating a crazy, free-spirited makeup look just for fun-something playful and without any purpose other than to enjoy the process. It could even spark ideas for your drawings or paintings! Just an idea, but hey, whatever you do, just go for it. You’ve got this! 🫶🏻🎨✨
@ that’s a great idea! Ill definitely see if any of my makeup looks can inspire more artwork, never thought of it like that! I also find myself struggling to come up with makeup looks of my own at times, but I have come up with/thought of my own looks before. Haven’t created them all sadly. But I’ll definitely try!😍🫶🏻you’re the best!!
