The way the audio technician captures the resonance of the group is amazing. It is nice to hear the organ in a small group where it stands out clearly.
Elizabeth and Alana, it's beautiful!!! Thank you! and Bravo!!! I'm listening again and again! Your violins are alive! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Hopefully we'll see more of this remarkable pairing of talents in the future. Their playing dovetails beautifully. Long live conductorless chamber music and the 17th century gems VOM keeps pulling out of the archives!
Amo violinos. Lindíssimo. Tanta beleza há na música. Meu Deus, abre os ouvidos e olhos daqueles que só respiram pelo poder, pelas guerras e a ganância sem medida.
Great ! L o v e Castello ! One thing I enjoyed very much in this performance is the ringing bass notes from the archlute !! Majestic, dark and so very beautiful !!
I enjoy so much to seeing you playing ! I love so much to listening to every music you are playing, dear Voices. Warm regards and thank you ever so much.
keep it up voices of music .i know that the world is facing a lot of trouble .mais pour moi la musique baroque calme toujour les esprits.greetings from mauritius.
Yes, the world has certainly progressed tremendously over the last 400 years. But i will take 400 year old music over much of what is composed these days.
Absolutely exquisite. I spent a weekend on a course back in January trying to play a Castello sonata with my group... not this one, but it really gives me a feel for some of the stuff we were missing that the tutors just couldn't quite convey (although they did help us a lot!).
Can I ask you guys for recommendations on chin rests and like where you buy the cloth thingies that go over your chin rests? They must make you sound this good. Definitely not the baroque instruments. Haha
We used the original print, which is on IMSLP, but there is also a modern score on IMSLP imslp.org/wiki/File:PMLP187052-Sonata_Quarta.pdf As always, consider a donation to IMSLP. You can also donate to Voices of Music for our musicians fund voicesofmusic.org/donate.html

Thank you.
Listening to this while I can't sleep. This is heaven. I hope it's still there when I wake up, and not just a beautiful dream.

Can't say I agree with the music written, but the performance of it is extraordinary.
Played with feeling.
Pure beauty ❤ So of course there are already two dislikes....

@musicians: do you think to play a piece of country music with this group? Longing for.
Maybe "Wabash Cannonball" would work.

will there be any recording with alana playing soon? i love her artistic style
Maybe 2023, hopefully.
Castello? Where's ya cornetti?
More cornetti on the way.
Is the archlutist muting the bass strings with his left hand at 1:15 or what's happening there? He's not playing harmonics or sth is he?
Muting and plucking the next one from both ends.
Period Instruments.....played by ANGELS incarnate, or HUMANS who stepped up to the Plates.....to make THEM jealous !!!
Were i can get the score for this?
