Hi Matt hope you are doing well , I have to say I'm missing you and of course your contents so do not keep us waiting please :) I'm following you over than 6 7 years
Matt, I’m glad you haven’t posted. I’ve been watching for 7 years. Good for you for taking a break. There’s so much great content that I’m happy watching your reruns. Enjoy, and know we’re all so grateful you’ve contributed so much. Humans are not factories and we’re not meant to be. You must be allowed times when you do not create anything at all. Matt is the only youtuber i have been watching consistently for the past 6 years - the vids never tire - thank you for making these, helping me do better!
Matt, we went to middle school and high school together (Kailey Ibsen). Your "no sugar for 30 days" video was just recommended to me by YT. Small world! Glad you're doing well.
go you! i realized so much about working out and strength training was mental - it's your brain holding you back, not the body. you inspire me every day! (content and lifestyle now too!)
Matt, I'm 36 too and I'm also in my peak shape now than I was my whole shitty life before! Buddy, thank you for this great video. Btw I also quit drinking and smoking a while ago and started recording vids :) I can't tell you how grateful I am to you for this vid!

Great video Matt, i have been doing a program with a personal trainer since January, and its great to have someone, who tells you how to proper do a lift! Its my 2 time trying this, and my first time was horrible, the trainer was only doing it for fat money, so this time i was more sceptical, but i must admit, this dude have helped me to enjoy fitness! I have set a personal goal to be in the best shape of my life, before im turning 40! And its a fun goal to have! Not only to loose weight, but also gain muscle etc. i have an office job, and i was starting to have issues with my back, where the blood stream wasnt great between the shoulders, due to looking at a monitor for 8-12 hours a day, so it was either chiroprator or getting my ass of the chair and doing something for myself! I choose the last part! For now, im actually enjoying heading to the gym!
This is so inspiring! I'm only 20, but it's really uplifting to know that I can look forward to the next 20 years as years of growth, not just mentally, but physically too!
*Be (Imperfectly) Consistent is my favorite one!* 💜 In the long run, it's better to improve 1% (almost) every day, than improve 3-5% every once in a while. 💪 Consistency doesn't need to be perfect for the power of compounding to shine! 📈
Your last video inspired me to go from lifting 3x10 reps to 3x3, my body is actually growing the same or even better growth than before. I'm focused on gaining strength after seeing you double your benchpress in 100 days which I didn't know was even possible. Excited to watch this video now left my comment before even starting it lol!
@@Shvabicu Progressive loading, strength is what am training for now since bench has always been like 185ish and weigh 155. The weight is totally different to what was lifting before, focusing on compounds exercises and really just want strength these days
I love this. I looked into a personal trainer and the cost was too high for my income. It was really agonizing to come to terms with the impossibility of having a trainer because I knew it would be life changing and life sustaining for aging. I had the desire, but just didn’t have the money. I’m sure I’m not alone in this. I love the idea of a personal trainer. It’s out of reach for so many of us. I’ve been watching Matt for years like many of you also.
Super motivation to get that proper strength programme going. Great video! Said to myself every year since 36yo that THIS year id be the best shape of my life. at 42, it happened thanks to a challenge called 75HARD. Just goes to show that whatever challenge motivates you to continue is a good idea 💪🏼💪🏼
I would hope so!! LOL I started weight training at 30 and strongest at 54. Don't get caught up in chronological numbers Matt. Just keep at it consistently.

Hey Matt! I just gotta say, I can definitely see the old you coming back in these videos. Doing a lot of the things yourself is making the videos more personal, and less, corporate, if that is the right word. No hate, I just really, really love your work :)
Powerlifting is so fun because of the people you lift around! The competitions were so fucking scary at first but man, the people there are genuinely cheering for everyone to do their best.
I started lifting at 24 and felt like I was "too late". I am now 25 and infinitely glad that I started "late". I can confidently say it's worth it to start whenever. 30, 35, 40+. It's always worth it to get stronger... And get SWOLE BRO 💪💪💪

Agreed with having a good coach or trainer to work consistently with (consistency is key for both attending sessions AND practicing in between). I finally bit the bullet when I didn’t have a formal program and over tired my back muscle- my PT recommended a personal trainer and I was lucky to find the perfect person for the type of person I was (couch potato turned a walking potato). I wasn’t able to squat or deadlift a bar and was able to squat and deadlift 105 lbs in 2 months. Best money spent!
