When I replace mine, I took some. Carb spray and WD-40 I spray inside that thing because sometimes that little flat still gets stuck On there that the motor turns on.
Did it really take you 30 minutes to fix or longer? My car has the same exact problem with same code and currently sitting at a repairshop. From the videos I've seen it should not take long to fix and im worried the shop might want to bamboozle me and overcharge me. I trully hope they dont.
Coul this cause a lean code in addition ? On my scanner I hit the info button & it mentioned within explanation of fault it deals with A/F ratio in specifics, i have a p0171 & p2017 system too lean along with runner valve sensor high circuit.
@@Turningwrenches85 yeah that's what I was thinking , I mean I changed the upstream 02 sensor , wasn't fimilar with a runner valve until a few weeks ago , 2 weeks maybe , wanted to research it before I went to dealing with it, but i hope it clears my problems atleast for the A/F ratio , after that I have to trace & replace a radiator coolant leak (chrysler/dodge/jeep) , if I wasn't in the eletrical field I'd downsize to a 10 speed bicycle.

Parts changer mentality here what about 5v ref circuit? Sensor gnd sensor control etc? You don't go ahead and replace parts without proper diagnose!! Good video about rem/rep of the FCV but that's it.....
@@Turningwrenches85 right before 15:00, where you put the part back in and got it connected properly. I needed to see how the part lined up with the other part and how the parts were supposed to be for the open or closed position. @@GenieJeanne1 yes it's actually supposed to only make so much of a turn it's not supposed to turn all the way so it is correct 1/4 of a turn my mind was so gummed up with Carmen I had to take it in wiggle it with a screwdriver flat-head few times to get it to free up
@GenieJeanne1. What video shows what we need to know? Our 2009 Sebring error code just says ''Stuck Open.'', or Code: P2004 & actually is showing up twice, as P0300 is on the list twice. I'm thinking it's the Crank & Cam Sensor + the ''Runner Control Valve'', since it has new Plugs & Coil Packs.....
@@Turningwrenches85 Our 2009 Sebring 2.4L: Replaced the Plugs, Coil Packs, going to install the Crank & Cam Sensor's & this part, 'The ''Runner Control Valve''. Video was funny but i love it because it was genuine and motivating
Thanks
Thanks for this video for letting me fix it successfully
You're welcome I'm glad it helped you out fixing your car
What do you know if the intake manifold were that part fits in if it's stuck how do you unstuck it
Hello 👋 I have the same problem I put a brand new control runner switch on n still sane problem as you , did you clean the intake itself after?
No I haven't yet but my heater core went out so right now I'm trying to repair that and I will clean my intake next
I just put a new manifold runner control and my engine light stay on. what else can I do?

I hope not either . It Just took a alot longer because of what all I had to remove to get to it at that time so I want to say Maybe 20 mins if that?
What was the symptoms you were having that caused this code?
Check engine light flash and then i noticed at that time my gas mileage was going down like i was driving a v8
Buenas noche. Que síntoma presenta. Esa pieza
I’m doing this job tomorrow on a 07 caliber
I hope it has a good result from it
Did It work? My 10 caliber won't start seem like no spark
How did you diagnosis the valve? we know how to replace parts! That code is usually an electrical problem, like a bad ground!
Actually was the intake manifold on my car at the time when I had it

It sounds like they are causing that lean code also
