No, that's nothing compared to the southern bases, southwestern base spams annoying infantries, while southeastern base spams venom and vertigo bombers, some of them try to flank you. The southeastern base is the most annoying to invade, there are tons of venoms, the only safe place to land is in the north if you didn't destroy the missile defence, even if you managed to get rid the previous problems, stealth tanks and rocket infantries wreck most of your units
One tip I can to those who are struggling. Focus on the Nod base on the top right corner of the map. Just destroy their defenses and factories then start capturing the base. Use predator tanks as a sponge and just rush the base with engineers inside APCs
@@shanonsnyder9450 You can sell the wall and get a couple thousand credits, and there is another 3000 in the south of your base, which will give you about 10 predators at the start of the game. It is so annoying that selling the wall will be counted as unit lost tho, otherwise it will be much easier to do a 0 unit lost run.
There are 92 walls around the base in total (you can sell each for 50 credits), which even if you didn't lose any unit but sell all the walls, you will still see 92 unit lost after the game (similar issue happened in the GDI Munich mission, the GDI research lab is counted as unit)
Trying this on medium difficulty....havent had a issue with any other mission....tried several ways people suggested....probably lost about....15 times now...getting pretty annoyed....not sure what to do.....they swarm me with way too much stuff from both sides,I cant get an attack going because of the constant attacks on my base....if I leave them alone they whittle me down if I rush them their defense is too strong...Ive tried predators Ive tried apcs with rockets I cant break their defense and I cant defend against them....eventually they slip in some suicide bombers and I lose a power plant and it just goes downhill from there or they just have a million vehicles that never stop coming....
The first one or two times at hard difficulty can catch you with your pants down specially with the infantry rush but once you know what is coming it´s pretty simple, and one of the most entertaining missions, once your units reach the hero status (if you rotate them correctly that happens quickly) and with just a few you can melt through everything. For the infantry rush i just use 6 apc loaded with 6 rifleman, as long as you keep them moving you´ll lose none.
Just re-played this mission. Damn, that is ballsy going all-in on that south western base at the very start. I never even attempted that because I assumed there'd be masses of infantry and rocket soldiers in the buildings around it like in the late game. I've always hit / captured the north-east first, and by the time I'd done that there's endless black hand flame squads flowing over the bridges which made it an absolute arse to push through and clear.
I am replaying too, I only watched this because i am curious how he did it. I havent watched this video fully yet but what i did (also hard difficulty) was before I helped teh MCV team i just killed all the nod bases expect the air base(didnt know if it will break the game or not). That way apart from the few garrisonned structures literally no one can hurt your MCV
@@acev3521 If you kill them all off you actually win the mission but fail the required primary objectives. I think it's the only part of the game where it can happen.
No memory of this one from 2006 but now it's really thrown me off the game, it's the "Super Mario Brothers 2 (Japan)" fallacy for 25 years, actually tanked the entire genre? Probably, I never finished the Protoss SC2 campaign cuz it tried to throwback to "hard RTS," and it was incomprehensible gibberish, and I hate the Protoss. And then I tried Red Alert 3 again a couple years ago, just floored by the fact my entire force could be destroyed in mission 1, when I barely even understood the game, yet.
Lol it's easy, rifle squad can make bunkers. Fill the bunkers with rocket squad for AA defense, replacing the AA gun. So the power can be focused on ground defense
The Trick was to destroy the first NOD-Base on the Bottom of the left Corner of the Map with Tanks, before the Mission-Objective gets active, to get rid of NOD-Forces, which push from the Left. The NOD-Base had only Infantry-Defense Buildings, what made it easy to overrun by Tanks. So, Resistance was easy to break. Also you have to be quick, before NOD-Forces reinforce their Defense by fortify the City-Buildings with Rocket-Launcher Troops. I did it by holding the Defense, till the other NOD-Bases were running out of Ressources. ...Played it on „Normal“...
I would prefer to take out the tank base in the east first because they have heavier forces that could jeapordize the bonus objective of keeping all buildings intact. Attacking the infantry base is much easier without a threat in the rear
that is the reality of many battles, no water, no food, low amo, no sleep, a lot of wounded, few gas to power engines, just the will of winning, fight with hope, give everything you have left
Oh that video save my life on this mission. I struck on easy, good that AI did not reconstruct units buildings again so after you clear them you have all the time at the world to develop army and finish off flyght base.
for me this was the hardest mission ever, until I thought of leaving my MCV where is was and capture Nod stuff. And I would never sell the walls or pick up money crates lol *facepalm*
my way of doing this mission is dont worry about your own mcv instead of focusing on nod's north east base, get about 10ish predators in and get a few engineers in few apcs, then capture its base. then you can turn on all base defences and also get more defences against nods infantry and annoying vertigoes.
So let me get this straight -Sell your walls -Produce more Harvester -Go for Tank Superiority -Place your Infantry on the Bridges -Attack the Nod Base South Directly -Attack the North Base of Nod Directly -Let the reinforcements wait like a sigma male xP
CONQUER EDITION: Capture the north east nod MCV with an engineer after eliminating the defence. Set up a nod base there now you have 3 tiberium mines, block the bridge with infantry and vehicle defence and keep all the unit there so they can't cross the bridge. Use nod's stealth bomber to bomb the defence in the west capture it with engineer mine more tiberium, you are left with the air base in south east. Use a surveyor just beside the hill make a war factory on the hill make mammoth tank and predator tank, also make like 20 vemons and attack the base to make sure Nod feels what it's like to FEAR.
Intresting way to win this mission. Where are the Stealth tanks from the north base? Do they only spawn after u secured the MCV at your base or what. I am getting wrecked by them even on normal after the MCV gets to the base.
@@hdw Stealth takes show up immediately once the MCV shows up the first time before rescue mission. Not sure why they didn’t show up for you. Maybe taking out the southwest base does it. I don’t know.
I remember really struggling with this mission as a kid. I got the game yesterday flew through every mission no issues whatsoever moment I hit this one fails 3 times in a row 🤣thought I'd watch a video on it. I try go for shock troopers in apcs its wrecks everything lol but your constantly under attack and I was trying to do the secondary saving the base vehicle. And just as it was pulling into the base a enemy air unit came and shot it 😑😑
my approach to this missions was to set up lots of rifleman bunkers as a cheap tanky base defence vs the vehicles and then apcs with riflemen in for the infantry side, leave all air defences on and have 1 guardian canon on, basically turtle it for a little bit then push for you mcv, never even thought of rushing the base defences and stealing the nod construction yard BEFORE getting your mcv to the base
I think it's because the Balkans was an area of focus in the 90's for the US and Europe in the real world when the first C&C came out and Westwood wanted to make a relatable product. The sequels just build on the original setting.

In Tiberian Universe that Eden is the place where the Tiberium arrive to Earth.
lmao i was getting my shit pushed in in normal. been playing on the steam deck and this mission almost walled me. i would hold out till the BoO appeared with just a ton of missile squad to hold the north and apv on the south to hold the infantry but never knew you could sell the wall or go and get the boxes. finally managed to get the BoO in the base and build turrets to hold the south with just a few apvs and all missile infantry on the north till i got predators built and went ham on the north and south
Isn't attacking all Nod base suppose to be the final objective after rescuing the under-attacked MCV convoy? But you just did it the other way around except attacking the southeast base. I have no offense about the way you play, i'm just saying.
I always hated this mission together with Albania... but this one i just destroyed tank base, captured its buildings and then created NOD army to wreck evey other base... when i did it on PC i had to rescue convoy in the end if i remember well but on console just destorying bases won the mission lol.
i swear to god i still have a Patch 1.05 Version on my harddrive because after that the campaign was borderline annoying to play because of all the balance changes
How I won this mission: Step 1: defend my base. Step 2: capture their vehicle base, using tanks and engineers. Step 3: crush them. Step 4: rescue my MCV. Victory!
I don't know what you've got going on here but for me they would not just give up when I took out their buildings, they'd instantly begin repairing and then rebuilding anything I destroyed, and every war factory and barracks was endlessly pushing out light tanks, flame tanks, and black hand as fast as they could be made, are you playing with some kind of nerf mod or is my game broken
bro honestly one thing about these missions on Hard its gonna be hard the first time because your gonna keep finding ways on hows complete it along with failing the mission alot and Once you found that one thing you needed to do the missions become easy because u finally found the strategy that works
i beat this game on console on the 360 when i was 14 but replayed it on 2023 and i dont remember this game being this hard especially this mission. my 14 year old ass wasnt that smart so i dont know how i beat the game back then
Tell me about it no matter what tactic I use they simply just brute force me with overwhelming numbers and firepower. Even when I try to follow steps to the letter. I'm tempted to just call it quits on the GDI campaign.
i know this is 5 years old but you made some really stupid moves. you should of used the infantry garrison near your base. literally didn't see any reason to sell the walls the pay off wasn't worth it. better to just double up the harvester. capturing the south base is a much better call and some genrade throwers would of been better. personally hitting the south base was better option. forces the enemy to use more credits. liked the carry all rush though that was neat. but i suggest garrison infantry with sniper and on the other side garrison with rocket infantry. other then that your the rest of your plan was perfect.
The only really stupid move is your ignorant comment. I definitely shouldn't build the garrison near my base because the rocket infantry will destroy it quickly if you play on hard difficulty. The payoff is worth it because each wall segment costs 50 credits. No, capturing the southern base is not much better. There is no golden standard for this mission as to which base must be captured first.

I can’t get past their vehicle rush and defenses. They just crush anything I send and wipe out my engineers. It’s a pin

Just take out the production buildings and they're done. Two barracks is SW and two war factories in NE.

As you can see before rescuing the MCV I captured the north-east and the south-west Nod bases. That's why there are no stealth tanks.
@@hdw Stealth takes show up immediately once the MCV shows up the first time before rescue mission. Not sure why they didn’t show up for you. Maybe taking out the southwest base does it. I don’t know.

I built 5-6 Guardian Cannons on the east side of the base and was able to fend off the stealth tanks. Be sure to repair them in time.
I remember really struggling with this mission as a kid. I got the game yesterday flew through every mission no issues whatsoever moment I hit this one fails 3 times in a row 🤣thought I'd watch a video on it. I try go for shock troopers in apcs its wrecks everything lol but your constantly under attack and I was trying to do the secondary saving the base vehicle. And just as it was pulling into the base a enemy air unit came and shot it 😑😑

First time I played this mission I just turtled and held out. I nearly got wiped out once Nod used stealth tanks.

my approach to this missions was to set up lots of rifleman bunkers as a cheap tanky base defence vs the vehicles and then apcs with riflemen in for the infantry side, leave all air defences on and have 1 guardian canon on, basically turtle it for a little bit then push for you mcv, never even thought of rushing the base defences and stealing the nod construction yard BEFORE getting your mcv to the base

You can set the APCs on a patrol mission between the bridges and the war factory for some repairs.
Now that the intel file asked, what IS it with Nod and the Balkans?
I think it's because the Balkans was an area of focus in the 90's for the US and Europe in the real world when the first C&C came out and Westwood wanted to make a relatable product. The sequels just build on the original setting.

The Balkans where a very important place for many history events (like the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand that started the WWI), for centuries was an important trading between the West and the East, and where many cultures coexist. For that Sarajevo is called the "Jerusalen of Europe".
Also if you follow the lore of the game and compared with the beliefs of many eastern/semitic cultures, the Land of Nod is on the East of the Eden.
In Tiberian Universe that Eden is the place where the Tiberium arrive to Earth.
lmao i was getting my shit pushed in in normal. been playing on the steam deck and this mission almost walled me. i would hold out till the BoO appeared with just a ton of missile squad to hold the north and apv on the south to hold the infantry but never knew you could sell the wall or go and get the boxes. finally managed to get the BoO in the base and build turrets to hold the south with just a few apvs and all missile infantry on the north till i got predators built and went ham on the north and south
Isn't attacking all Nod base suppose to be the final objective after rescuing the under-attacked MCV convoy? But you just did it the other way around except attacking the southeast base. I have no offense about the way you play, i'm just saying.
You must destroy the Nod bases as quickly as possible to make this mission easier.
I always hated this mission together with Albania... but this one i just destroyed tank base, captured its buildings and then created NOD army to wreck evey other base... when i did it on PC i had to rescue convoy in the end if i remember well but on console just destorying bases won the mission lol.
i swear to god i still have a Patch 1.05 Version on my harddrive because after that the campaign was borderline annoying to play because of all the balance changes
How I won this mission: Step 1: defend my base. Step 2: capture their vehicle base, using tanks and engineers. Step 3: crush them. Step 4: rescue my MCV. Victory!
I didn't even rescued the MCV, just destroyed all three bases, therefore ending the mission before schedule
I don't know what you've got going on here but for me they would not just give up when I took out their buildings, they'd instantly begin repairing and then rebuilding anything I destroyed, and every war factory and barracks was endlessly pushing out light tanks, flame tanks, and black hand as fast as they could be made, are you playing with some kind of nerf mod or is my game broken

bro honestly one thing about these missions on Hard its gonna be hard the first time because your gonna keep finding ways on hows complete it along with failing the mission alot and Once you found that one thing you needed to do the missions become easy because u finally found the strategy that works

This mission is way too stressful even on easy difficulty.
This single mission pretty much ruined the game for me. Straight up fkn stupid and frustrating trying to do this one on console. Wasn't fun at all...
Skill issue, even as an 8 year old i managed to do this on console

i beat this game on console on the 360 when i was 14 but replayed it on 2023 and i dont remember this game being this hard especially this mission. my 14 year old ass wasnt that smart so i dont know how i beat the game back then
This one sticks in my memory as the worst mission in the game. Not looking forward to replaying it.
Tell me about it no matter what tactic I use they simply just brute force me with overwhelming numbers and firepower. Even when I try to follow steps to the letter. I'm tempted to just call it quits on the GDI campaign.

i know this is 5 years old but you made some really stupid moves.
you should of used the infantry garrison near your base.
literally didn't see any reason to sell the walls the pay off wasn't worth it.
better to just double up the harvester.
capturing the south base is a much better call and some genrade throwers would of been better.
personally hitting the south base was better option.
forces the enemy to use more credits.
liked the carry all rush though that was neat.
but i suggest garrison infantry with sniper
and on the other side garrison with rocket infantry.
other then that your the rest of your plan was perfect.
The only really stupid move is your ignorant comment. I definitely shouldn't build the garrison near my base because the rocket infantry will destroy it quickly if you play on hard difficulty.
The payoff is worth it because each wall segment costs 50 credits.
No, capturing the southern base is not much better. There is no golden standard for this mission as to which base must be captured first.
