just discovered hartman fibereeds for bass clarinet and goodbye squeaks! i cnt elimanate squeaks completly using cane either. legere not bad but they warp at the tip for me after a while. i have a runyon contra alto mpc but no horn. doubt i will ever get one as i have severe asthma and watching you struggle convinces me -i dont have a chance to ever play one. looking into possiably getting a syos high baffel bass mpc for eric dolphy type playing. great info mojo!

Thank you for the video. I only rarely play a contra and your video was informative for me. I normally play a Low C Paris Selmer Bass Clarinet and like you played the Legere for a number of years. However, the last few years I have found the fiberreed carbon onyx made in Germany and absolutely love both the sound and the life. You might want to try a Bari Reed on the last mouthpiece and see how you like it? Thanks again for the video
