I would consider wiring it properly so when the tool is turning the atc is disabled preventing another expensive mistake thanks for posting this excellent teardown
I know someone that did the same thing but where able to fix it by just removing the back section of the spindle you did not need to take the whole spindle apart He was able to break it free, clean it up and has run for a few years now
You can repaired by tig welding rebuilt on the end and machine that again. Or insert titanium tip so it can stand better heat no need to change the hold segment.
thanks for this. Just bought a 2nd hand router (3.2kw) and can't get the tool to fully release and won't reclamp either , so think as it sat around for a while unused the draw bar or ram has seized from moisture in the air. Your video has given me a great look inside my spindle before I made the decision that I'm going to have to dissect! Cheers. If you found a good source for a new spindle or parts, post a link, cause I think I'm going to need one! :-)
Hey Paul I'm glad my video may have helped ya. In the end I got a new spindle from the manufacturer and sent the old one back for a factory re build that I'll keep on hand as a spare.
Bien, tout démonter ok,. Mais pour séparer les parties coincées il n’y a vraiment que la scie ? Cela manque de clarté lors de la description du travail qu’il fait au niveau de la liaison piston-tige du gripper
I can get parts from HQD (the manufacturer) although they recommend that i send it back for rebuild and balancing. I will do this. In the end I replaced this one with a new one and will ship the broken one back for rebuild when I have the spare cash as I don't have some of the specialized tooling required for pressing in delicate new ceramic bearings etc that I should have if I were to do it myself. Now tell me. Why do you ask? Has the same thing happened to you? Regards Dan
