Just picked up our ‘24 XT4 Sport last weekend, absolutely love it! Traded our 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, this was cheaper than a new ‘24 Wrangler Sahara, by over $10K Canadian.
Ordered one a few weeks ago to get it optioned like I want. So tired of black interiors, and that is mostly what dealers order. Also not a sunroof fan, but fortunately it's an option.
Has GM addressed and solved their Fuel Pump issues? Seems like it is across the board on their light duty trucks and all SUVs in all brands. Last I saw, they leave you stranded and only replace them with the same product #.
The Buick Envision is essentially the same vehicle. The Envision blows the Caddy out of the water for interior design. The touch points are all so much nicer than the XT4. The Buick can also be had at a significant discount off MSRP.
@@tman9517 - You're right. I get the Buick names confused. The Envision and XT4 are both on the Epsilon 2 platform. I personally like it that it shares a platform with the Malibu, and the 4-cylinder has a long lineage, though on the latter I wish GM had added port injection as did Toyota and Ford. It all depends on what you want a luxury car to be. To me it's all about the details. Some hate it that Audi shares a platform with VW, and CT4s with Camaro. I've been in my sister and an in-laws Envision, and I don't see the interior design being better nor the "touch points". I thought the design overall was sort of bland.
Talking about the vehicles that show the ware the most have to be the Ford , DODGES , and all of the Hyundai vehicles, Toyota's are thet Worst things, THAT MY BROTHER IN LAW WILL NEVER BUY A NOTHER TRUCK WITKH LEATHER AGAIN!!!!!!--😮😮😮😢😢😢😅
You are uninformed. The Cadillac XT4 and Chevrolet Equinox are both SUVs that differ in their platforms, size, towing capacity, and suspension: Platform XT4 has the state of the art 33 in screen, wheras Equinox has a 4in digital instrument cluster and the old 7in or 8in infotainment screen, The XT4 is built on GM's E2 platform, while the Equinox is built on a stiffened version of the Theta platform. Engine XT4 has a 2.0 litre turbo with twin scroll turbos that makes turbos kick in early @1500 rpm and at maximum torque 258 lbs to 4000 rpm and still 90% of that to 5000 rpm, and cylinder deactivation (0-60 in 7 sec). Whereas Equinox has a 1.5 litre turbo (0-60 in 8 sec). Size The XT4 is generally more spacious than the Equinox, with more legroom and comfortable seats. Towing capacity The XT4 has a 235-horsepower engine and can tow up to 3,500 pounds, while the Equinox has a 175-horsepower engine and can tow up to 1,500 pounds. Transmission XT4 has a 9 speed , whereas Equinox is 6 speed Suspension The XT4 has a longer wheelbase 109.5 in than the Equinox 107.3 in, which contributes to a smoother ride and more stable handling. The XT4 also has standard front and rear stabilizer bars, and an available driver-adjustable suspension system. The Equinox's suspension doesn't have a rear stabilizer bar or adjustable shock absorbers.
Having had a lot of experience with these small luxury suvs this year I can comfortably say the Cadillac would be last on my list. My friend just got a new XT4 a few weeks ago and I borrowed it a couple of weeks ago and here are my thoughts. I have a neighbor with a GLK 350 and I have rented a Volvo XC60 a few times this year and I absolutely loved the XC60 and the GLK is so much better than the Cadillac. My neighbor had a loaner GLB also and that thing was super nice. First of all the XT4 won't shift out of drive if your seatbelt or your passenger's seatbelt isn't on, what in the nanny state nonsense is that. Door handles are not great, my neighbor with the GLK pointed that out too, he hates them. Quality of the materials are not as good as the Benz or Volvo and the ride isn't either. The lack of trunk space is abysmal also. The Lyriq looks nice though, I am supposed to test drive that soon. My favorite suvs this year so far have been the Volvo XC60, the Range Rover Sport and the Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy.
We picked up our new ‘24 XT4 Sport last weekend, really enjoying it. The seatbelt on before shifting from park is an option in the settings, I have it turned off, just chimes like other cars now.
@@Horm999 Oh you can disable that, good, I will let him know. I thought my neighbor's Subarus were nanny state mobiles until I got in the XT4. LOL. Subarus are obnoxious.
@@magnoliap5824 Well they are idiots. If I want to back my car out onto my driveway or drive it ten feet onto the street I shouldn't have to put on my seatbelt, I am not a child. 🤷♂
The xt4 is a compact suv compared to the volvo xc60 is a midsize suv. You are comparing apples to oranges. Anyone knows midsize will out perform compact every time
Range Rovers Volvos have a terrible reputations for lacking reliability and duability, massive exclusively expensive maintenance and servicing costs. Nobody in their right mind to go out and buy a used one outside a warranty. Pass
Sounds like a Mercedes C or E-class too. That's the sound of a turbo 4. I'm not wild about turbo 4's either, but that's what everyone is running standard.
Agreed, you said it “Everyone is running them” need more out-of-the-box thinking and diversity… high HP 4-cylinder engines… I am not sure about their longevity 100k+???
@@jaycam9552 Yeah I'm concerned about longevity too with turbo 4s. I'd ordinarily prefer a naturally aspirated 6, but I'm not wild about the long complicated timing chains of GM's 3600. My old Buick Regal 3800 gets 30 mpg on the highway without direct injection, VVT, or long timing chains with overhead cams. I'd prefer the gov stop so heavily regulating the industry and let more innovative designs come about. BTW, I'm also disappointed that GM has not added port injection to their turbo 4 like Toyota and Ford have done so the valves don't carbon up.

Insane XT4 Ben !! ❤❤
Cadillac built a insane suv
Our Motor Messiah
About 52k for top trim, a little on the pricey but an overall great premium compact SUV.

We have 175K on our 2019. Still looks new.
Does it have Apple Car Play, and is it wireless?

Ah, no the Envision 3 cylinder isn't the same car. Not saying there's anything wrong with it, but not at all the same.
@@5metoo Envision has the same exact turbo 4. Your thinking the Envista or Encore.

Still not impressed. Lack of modern styling and way too much for the little you get compared to rivals. Just lacks the needed esthetics. 😢

Don’t get the seat vibrating instead of an audible noise.
Oh I love the seat alert, so cool that either the left or right or both butt cheeks pulsate depending if the car next to me crosses the white lane.

I like Acura but they need to update their gauges and infotainment system . I mean even GM is giving people a better setup in that regard.
