Saw King Roy Shirley's last show at Mendocino Fairgrounds. Was a dream come true to see the James Brown of reggae live and direct. Mr. "Hold Them" one of first rock steady tunes. It was electric, he gave it all, even with smoke everywhere from fires. At end of show he came into crowd with very long cord and I belted out a verse or two with Mr. Shirley.
