It was interesting to see that the six pairs of legs on the front help them find their place to become pupae. It was interesting to see that each butterfly had a different pupa. It was discovered that the shape of a butterfly wing can be obtained from an adult pupa. The shape of the wing changes depending on the gene, and the pattern is also varied, which is cool. For those considering watching this: It is really well done. I would say every bit as well done as the best of TV nature shows. It is that way from the very start to the end. The difference is this has a lot more information than a typical nature show. It is well written, interesting, has a large number of beautiful butterflies, flows nicely all the way through, and nicely presented. Watch this. You won't regret it. Thank you Paul. I think when we are kids, we tend to have something we are really interested in. As a kid I used to do a lot of fishing in rivers and lakes back in Norway, but its been more than 40 years now, since I've done any serous fishing. What I was most interested in when a kid was butterflies and I did a little bit of collecting. Then I stopped for several years until 1985 when my interest in them came back and I have continued studying them ever since. Have a lovely weekend Paul and take care.

This is my favorite topic" The Life Cycle Of Butterflies". When I was teaching science, my students were so interested with this topic because we did the actual experiment. Thanks for sharing this wonderful life of butterflies.
It is very interesting to watch the whole process from egg to butterfly. This last summer I was lucky enough to see a hummingbird moth lay eggs on the foodplant and I took a few eggs with me, because I wanted to document the whole life cycle, something I managed to do. The moths emerged and released back into nature after only 25 days since the eggs were laid.
