The Hug Mod is everything I needed for BG 3, there are so many scenes where I just want to give the person a hug.

Its a roleplaying game. Just let people play who they want to play.
I have nothing with super cute model face. Some people might like it. But I think that doesn't blend very well with the BG3 realistic skin colous. The skin colors is too monotone which skin in reality isn't (there's veins, different tones depending on the area and the density) and it makes it look like a doll texture. On the other hand, the expressions seems to work well.
I see what you're saying, but it does actually fit more than you think (atleast as a Durge). RPing as a complete cutie with no ill intentions only to murder the entirety of Act 1 is silly good fun
The thing is, they scanned real people/models for presets (40 people), that's why they look almost “photorealistic” sometimes, that you can see “veins, different tones depending on the area” and actual pores on skin). That's the upside of the downside that is pretty limited choices for character creation for a game that has so many cinematics and NPCs (there are 100+ unique combos, but still, if you are not super invested in creating unique character, you will meet your fake sister/brother or a twin in act3, unless you play as “rare” race choice - drow and dragonborn are the best choices to be unique). So mods are very helpful, even tho they have the downside you've commented about, not like modders have resources to scan real people lol.
I wish, before they've finished, they would scan more faces. Also, some body customization, including body tatoos (because everyone gets naked in this game), wouldn't hurt.
But, in this case, it is also a “quirk” of Larian design, that players just usually have to accept. They really hate sliders, I think, and “tweaking” by the player, thus the obvious custom mode, typical for any cRPG, added months later. They are like Apple in this way, not Android lmao

This is racism against Asians commonly committed in Western countries. Please be considerate. My friend who lives in Europe is also over 30, but he says he sometimes gets annoyed by Westerners who look at him as 20 years younger than him.
I KNEW what they were doing when I saw this Astarion's outfit! I must say... Both Neil and Astarion are absolutely KILLING IT wearing it! One in a more literal sense than the other...
Still waiting for the REAL character creation mods, not this pitiful workarounds. Hope with the modding tools Larian promised this will become possible at last.

I wish the hair pack was compatible with short races. The vanilla hair I use on my Deep Gnome always clips into her face, but I don't like any of the other styles for that specific character. The hair you use in the video would be the PERFECT replacement, but the mod doesn't say it can be used with short Tavs. :(
i cant acess a lot of the face shapes from a face mod since the face shape window is small and unscrollable. How do you guys access them? any help pls?

I have s question regarding replacement mods. If you use a mod manager (I use vortex) does it do the replacing for you, and if you want to go back to vanilla assets, you just remove the mod and everything is good, or do you have to make sure youre going into the files for the original assets and saving them?

I have an online friend who found the hugs mod & she's using it to hug Raphael. I'm going to get the hugs mod to hug Raphael, the Astarion outfit mod, the mod that restores the achievements, Melf's Minute Meteors, & the dragonborne mod to help empower the dragonborne better because they look cool. I think fiends wouldn't be as miserable if they got more hugs. I'm not sure on whether to wait for patch 7 though. I'm iffy enough about using mods.
I expect all mods to break on patch 7 since they are releasing the new mod support with the patch.
Probably best to wait, especially if you plan to play evil since we get new evil cutscenes.

Ill be honest. while i look forward to these videos i just dont care for all these nonstop hair/armor mods. I want to see gameplay mods that are new/ fun, and bring something diff for the next playthrough. thats what excites me

prob it's just me, but i don't see the value of those....anime-like, ultra-polished and handsome looking face presets? tbh you got some nice looking faces by default and if you want to stay true to the theme i'd rather not even look at those unnecessarily good-looking face preset mods at all. If i want to play a character that looks like straight from an anime, i'd rather play FF XIV
sure, props to the mod authors for their work, but i'd rather trash all those mods altogether
same goes for some of the....questionable armor/clothing mods that make your characters look like some sort of fetish slave or maybe even more anime-ish as well with stupid glasses and all that. Sure, if you're into that, go for it. But you could've played FF in the first place. BG3 isn't exactly made what i have in mind when i think of sugar coating
Tbh I feel the same way. Some mods that entirely makes the face into anime faces aren’t for me. It just doesn’t immerse me into the bg3 game world. I like the presents that the game originally have.
You do know theres no need for unnecessary negativity right? You can just keep your opinion to yourself if you dont really have any constructive criticism about it. Mods are by default by preference so if you dont prefer any face mods then dont? Its that easy
Agreed. Stellar Blade looks good in, Stellar Blade. But that art style ain't it in BG3.
Inquisitor subclass is easily one of the worst subclass mods ive seen so far ... Nice idea n all ... But where is the difference to just using cheat engine and heavily jackin weapon stats? Deal +20 force damage (most broken dmg type in the game ...) with every single attack at no cost whatsoever ... yea ... ok ...

Lol, I was just about to update my mods, and then this video showed up. 😆 The very first mod that caught my eye was Astarion's Gear. I might get that mod, as I can't stand his camp clothes. Edit: Withers looks so weird with boobas.
Astarion's Gear is awesome simply for the snazzy outfit.
