Yeah it's definitely one of my favorites. I feel too sad to listen to this song specifically and this album. Obviously I just fed that sadness by looking this song up. Man, damn man...
there are no words to describe the pure poetic lyrical beauty of this, and most other deadboy songs. the album " If this is hell then I'm lucky" was, and still is life changing for me... i let it play all the way through almost 3-4 times daily, especially when feeling down. PURE BEAUTY. PURE GENIOUS.
You've never experienced 'musical blue balls' until you go to a Dax Riggs show, meet him in person, make some impression somehow, get him to talk to you about playing guitar for a 'new heavy project', and then, after him asking 'are you ready for some drinking and destruction?', his fiance calling him and telling him she didn't need to study for finals at Columbia tomorrow anyway.... I think he was fucking with me because everyone wants him to do a 'new heavy project'...never know for sure.
I got to meet him. I was a little drunk and hugged him. His face I’ll never forget. He didn’t like that :( security pulled me off but I couldn’t help myself
It's almost unnerving how good his voice is. By all rights he could have been a fucking superstar. But some people cut off their nose to spite their face. I'm afraid Dax is one of those people. With a voice like that he was given the keys to the kingdom. He chose to ignore the lock
I come here when I cannot hold the weight on my shoulders any longer. I come here after my soul has been raped by worldly delight and nothing fills the void...
I love how much Dax is able to bring particular "like minds" together! I very damn near use it for criteria at this point :p
Much Love◇ NOLA ◇ StephopalOpal aka Big Mama Appreciate you
Many many years later and this is still my favorite song!! You got to love the mind and voice of dax!!!

No your not a god as some people claim but damn it you speak to my soul. Your voice calms the demons within me.

Ok love this 1 but still miss acid bath
If I could inject a song in to my brain this would be it.
i agree. still it's anything but "easy listening"
Can someone explain the lyric 'Black Dog' and 'Satan's piano'?
He is referring to the devil.. and using a syringe..
Black Dog is a symbol for depression, and the grand piano is the gift of life
I met Dax back in the day. He was an asshole but u can't deny his music. 1 of the most underrated artist ever.
I've met Dax 3 times and he was never an asshole. Always very polite and gracious.
Yeah I've met him a bunch too. He's way humble.
Hmm weird. Spent some time with him after his show and he was a real ass cat very chill dude
