The red stapler in the Fallen Aces detail is itself also an Easter Egg. It's a reference to the movie Office Space. It was made custom order as a prop for the film and never meant to actually be sold, but after the film did surprisingly well Swingline started recieving tons of requests for cherry red staplers.
There's also a bunch of these in F.E.A.R., plus familiar memos.
I feel like after a while though it stops becoming an Easter egg or detail and just becomes a regular thing. It could definitely be a reference to that though

I got an overused video game easter egg. With Palworld's new update a couple days ago, they've added in a new island and pals. A new island means new dungeons. Inside one of the dungeons, I found a katana sticking out of a lit fire.

I have no idea if this is well known but in The Stanley Parable when you get to the new content in the deluxe version (the area with the jump circle and the hole) you can find papers on the wall and at the bottom of the hole that have the lyrics to the song “Just the 2 of us” from Bill Withers. This is pretty funny considering the entire time it literally is just Stanley and the Narrator the whole time. I nice little piece of comedy.
Speaking of Lego games, there’s a reference to jack and rose from titanic on the lego dimensions ghostbuster world. They can be found at the front of the ghost ship recreating the “king of the world” scene.
Not really a detail, more an easter egg, but felt i should mention it.
Actually, the 'king of the world' bit *might* start qualifying for 'overused cliche' at this point...
Speaking of getting money from npc, if you find a hiker and you know in gta:SA, he or she will drop a lot of cash

In sea of thieves! At port Merrick right in front of the sovereigns door, on a bench you can find flowers, a box and a note, you can't Interact with it but I believe it's a reference to Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates
I don’t think it’s been shown on this channel yet, but in Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga, if you play as a higher ranked clone trooper, lower ranks will stop to salute you as you pass. If you are playing an equal or lower ranked clone trooper, they won’t salute

Did you know in Fallout 4 if you go back to the vault where your husband/wife die at the beginning of the game, your party members depending on who you are with will have some lines of dialog to seeing your significant other dead.
Yes. Everyone that has played a game that's been out for nearly a decade knows that you can take companions to key points in the map and get special lines of dialogue from them.

Do you think you'll ever get around to covering the funny announcer detail in Rallisport Challenge 2 on Xbox?
On the first rallycross circuit, the track announcer reacts to the action going on in the race (it's quite immersive actually, hearing it in the background during a race), though it's hard to clearly hear because your screaming engine usually drowns it out. And, if you stop dead in your tracks, the announcer has A LOT to say about the disappointing turn of events (it's easiest to hear it by driving slowly and just letting the other racers finish, then parking on the main straight when you come back around. You can turn the music off to hear it better).
I'm still yet to see ANY mention of it, anywhere... not on any forums, reviews, videos, etc. So you'd be the first RUclipsr to show this funny detail in what is a criminally underrated gem on the OG Xbox.

@@CaptainEggcellent The game is finally working well with the emulator, Xenia (I've tried it out just to see the game in HD). The sounds are a little glitched (you'll hear all opponent's engine noises at max volume, until they stop at the end of the race), but it works smoothly, otherwise. Just an option to keep in mind...

In Destiny 2 Last Wish raid, at the final gauntlet run, your characters get randomly teleported into the heart of the last boss in which a guardian is carrying. If you got teleported and look up at the skybox you can see the giant fingers of the guardian that is carrying you.
SO i got a very small but very deep detail. In game "monster hunter rise" when you go to eat at canteen, you can chose your flavors some might have smaller chance to activate. BUT if you watch whole cut scene of making the dangos. After which you transition to your Character in front of the food AND is served tea. And here comes the detail. In Japanese folklore (or at least from my knowledge) that tea can have flating tea stalks and if one is upright it is a sign of a good luck. Would you know IF all your dangos activate in that cut scene where your character is being served tea has that upright stalk. Its a very small detail and by many not seen as you need to watch cut scene to see that and compare it to Monster hunter world is... well is just bad.
I like how the Boss gains respect by throwing an old lady into a giant gong in the middle of town.

in spider-man 2, when you equip an armor suit (anti-ock or og iron spider), you can hear the armor rattle while you swing - it's very subtle, but it's there. small but pretty cool detail, blew my mind when i first noticed it

Not sure if you covered it before but in the welcome to hell-a dlc for dead island 2 I was playing as Amy and when I got to the concert stage she says “huh this looks familiar” pretty sure that’s a reference to left 4 dead’s level where you end at a concert stage

Did you notice the way the fish hung in the air for a second while the water went lower than their height before falling into the water? Reminds me of cartoons like Wile E Coyote where they hang in the air for a second before realizing they can't and then fall
I do not recall of you mentioning this but you have so many videos so may as well, in Saints row 2, you can obtain coins by ripping up metermaids which is very fascinating.
The Fallen Aces one was also in Tony Hawks American Wasteland in the Santa Cruz Level at the Porta Potties

I’ve been playing FO4 and met up with the Vault-Tec salesman (now a ghoul) again. Can’t remember where (maybe Goodneighbor) but I offered him a home in one of my settlements.
Yes, he has a room in the Rexford Hotel in Goodneighbor.
And if invited into a settelment, he can be one of the few LV 4 merchants.
Build a trading emporium ( lv 3 general store ) and he gets a better inventory than normal settlers.

There's a feature from Jackie Chan Adventure on PS2 that many people not know about (probably). If you doing any combo ( for example, Square Triangle Square), press the square button for two to three seconds and Jackie Chan will do a Kung-Fu pose and can regain our chi back. This can apply in all the combos. Just press the last combo button and he will make a pose.
Not sure if you covered this detail before but you can throw grenades at peoples faces in Max Payne and it stuns them momentarily. Came in handy when I was low on ammo in that game.

In God of War 2018, if you get upgrades from Sindri after Atreus' "Little People's Little Problems" rant Sindri will snark about it. I've only had that happen once, but it was the one time I got an upgrade right after. So IDK if it's every time, or random and I just lucked out.
Also in Kingdom Hearts 1, no puppies will be in Atlantica... as they would be underwater.
In TombRaider 2018, apparently one artifact is actually a mass produced copy.. and Lara will get upset in her dialogue when she gets to the "Made in Japan" bit (I think it was Japan)
In Thief 2014, Garrett and the Thieftaker General will get injured in the story and it will (slighly) effect gameplay. Garret gets shot in his hand and after that it takes him longer to move items. The Thieftaker General will be wearing a leg brace for the rest of the game. Unfortunately with how long the game loads take before that happens, it's... a fun detail but drags things down a bit when loading was slow even before that happened.

I'm not sure if this was already covered or not, given the age of the series. In the metro series, if you use the pneumatic weapons, Artyom will have a harder time pumping air into them the higher the gauge is.
In "stalker: clear sky" if you pay atention to the intro video-uou can see main characters cool gun. But he loses it.

on phasmophobia you can throw an item into the motion sensors, red light and it will make aa noise as if you have walked into it, subtle but very cool
6:14 in postal 2 if you get arrested you can throw matches to get out of jail but since i havent played it im not sure if you are railroaded into that but its still pretty neat
I don’t think you’ve covered this Easter egg yet but in Call of duty Cold War, in the mission End of the Line, near the end where you enter the rooftop before you make the choice of saving parks or lazar, you will see a bunch of scientists running in your direction while snipers in the distance are shooting at them. Usually you will see the scientists just die but if you shoot the snipers before they do you will get a message on the corner of your screen that says “Saving PHD Ryan” a clear message to the film “Saving Pvt. Ryan” and you will unlock a calling card for it. Please check it out 🙏

If memory recalls, in Saints Row 2 I believe you could go up to the parking meters and pull them out of the ground and they’ll drop coins. Even more I think if you break ATM’s I think they drop cash. Been a while since I’ve played that game so I could be wrong.

Is a little complex you see the sea shells in the wall the colours you put in the balls in the pool table in the same order that gives you a key you open the cabinet in the floor before the light room that missing a gear (i don't remember the floor you find it) and in the end you go out and hit the bell (don't know how many times, there is guide) and something happens in the lighthouse

I don’t know if you covered this or not but I recently replayed gta 4 and I just noticed, idk how often that happens, but after the gps tells you where to go it plays a sound “bing bong” WELL, sometimes the voice that tells you where to go makes that ”bing bong” noise

Let's see I've notice that in LEGO the Hobbit they have a double rainbow and they actually have the colors in the right order. ICYDK when there's a double rainbow the colors will be reversed on one instead of roybiv it's vibyor.
And I've mentioned before that the sequence to unlock the drink that grants you the swizzle stick is actually a double reference. The sequence is actually a sleep over game of summoning Bloody Mary.
And what you get is...um a Bloody Mary drink (or maybe a bruised martin) who if red would look like a copy right infringing Kool aid Man so likely they had to make him purple.

Hitting an unreachable switch with a shot or throwable object definitely existed loooooong before Prey. This dates back into the mid 90's and was in FPS games like Duke Nukem 3D. And something like shooting a padlock from outside a window to enter a room is basically the same and has also existed long before Prey.

I would be happy to give more details if you would like, but there are a lot of references to other persona games in the series as it goes on. For example, in Persona 3 Reload when you spend time with the character Ken Amada watching the Noir Film, the music that plays during the movie is the same from Persona 5 Royal in the Crossroads bar, which came out several years ago.
Edit: I recognize this is A details video, these would fit better in the Easter egg/references video

I would recommend brilliant Dungeons of Dreadmor, on steam. There's plenty of easter eggs in this game such as oblivion dlc armor joke, reference to Drizzt do Urden from Dungeons and Dragons, reference to Twilight movies and many many more.
